I just got done watching "Milk" on Directv and I couldn't help drawing a comparison between the Gay Movement of the 70's to the E Cig Battle that is going on today. OT, Sean Penn just smokes in every role I've ever seen him in.
Anyway, back to my point. When Prop 6 (spearheaded by our fine Christians and led by Anita Bryant) was put on the ballad to enable the firing of all known Gays because of their sexual preference, it was all about the children also. The movement was about their livelihood rather than their lives.
The best line in the movie was a TV reported quote "Most California political leaders, from Gov. Jerry Brown to former Gov. Ronald Reagan say there are already enough Laws on the books to protect the Children!"
We really haven't learned anything over the last 30 years. There are still those people out there that need to have control over other peoples lives.
