My nickname that was given to me when my son ran a Christian teen center is "Head Banging Granny". So, guess I would have to say that I still prefer hard rock/heavy metal. Just thought I'd share that with you all
Here's a little Nina Hagen....this is a "mild" one...
This is for Helidoc!
it's been years since I've heard Emmy Lou and I didn't even know that one

I like most everything from classic rock ( but not oldies-but-goodies bubble gum junk) to classical, jazz, world, country, blues, r&b, americana, southern rock. Don't care for the ones with only screaming instead of singing, or rapping so fast its indecipherable. What I've been listening to the most lately is The Moody Blues.
I don’t know if this is totally in the spirit of the thread, but I’ve thus far abstained from posting in here, so I figure I’m long overdue to post something.
So, these are the CDs that are currently getting lots of playtime in my car. It’s a fairly even mix of newly acquired music and stuff that I’ve had for a while:
Lars Frederiksen and the .......s – self-titled debut (2001)
Red Hot Chili Peppers – I’m With You (2011)
Bettie Serveert – Palomine (1992)
Sleigh Bells – Treats (2010)
The Moody Blues – Days of Future Passed (1967)
Flash and the Pan – self-titled debut (1979)
Sneaker Pimps – Becoming X (1996)
Slapshot – Greatest Hits, Slashes, and Crosschecks (2001)
The Kinks – The Singles Collection (1997)
And a 20-track Christmas mix I made a couple of years ago called, “Space Age Santa.”![]()
