I am going to order some as well... I will report back. I'm ordering some CE3's and clearomizers as well, but I have not tried anything besides the standard cartomizers so far, so I may not be the best judge. Seeing as a am a noob to the whole vaping world I want to give all of SI's products a try, so far I at least know I like the standard cartomizers, they have been easy to clean and refill for me so far, and I have already filled a few of them 3 or 4 times...

You can clean the poly fill in the cartos that way, but SI cartos are horizontal coil. If you stick any kind of toothpick thru the air tube you are going to hit the coil and probably damage it. The methods for cleaning the coil are still being investigated individually I think, everyone seems to have a favorite way. So far I haven't found one that will get all the gunk off the coils, particularly with a carto that I used really sweet juice in.

Jury is still out on cleaning the nano, it's set up differently than a regular carto.

Sorry if this is a dumb question...remember I'm still new to this. But could something like this be done to clean the Nano? KR808D-1 Carto Cleaning: Quick-n-Easy. - YouTube

The Nano cannot be des-assembled or cleaned. It has an internal polyfiller like a normal cartomizer that is inside the air tube, sandwiched around another internal air tube. If that polyfill gets wet, with water, getting it dried out enough to accept liquid becomes problematic. As a result, once you start using a specific liquid flavor in a Nano, that is all that it can be used for.

Just my opinion, worth what you're paying for it, your results and mileage may vary, no warrantee or guarantee is expressed or implied.

No more burnt/lighter fluid taste after filling the Nano, per SI. I called SI described issue and was told to try this. Remove Nano from battery, plug the hole on the battery side of the Nano with something and take several heavy drags. This will pull the liquid into the center of the Nano. I did this until I quit seeing air bubbles coming from the two holes inside, then let it set for 30 minutes, (don't know if letting it set is necessary but I did it just to be sure) and now the burnt taste is completely gone and I am happy.

So I got my nanos, ce3's, and clearomizers yesterday. I LOVE the nanos, they are my favorite so far on the 78 mm batteries!!! I haven't tried cleaning them yet though.....

I love the Nanos, the clearos and the CE3's. I can't pick a favorite. The clearos are fantastic but you can't hold them upside down so I don't use them when I am out doing projects in the yard. The Nanos are great but the CE3's are so reliable that I can't let them go!!! I have a bunch of them all so I am covered for quite some time. I have a feeling the Nano is going to replace the CE3s so I bought ten more of them:)

Good information, Joe. I will try to remember that.

So I just had to throw away my first Nano, which I have been using for less than a week. My rating goes from great to OK. Here's what I found about them:

Pros:

Easy to fill
Nice look
Good vapor

Cons:

Muted flavor (compared to the CE3's and X2 Clearo)
leaking issues
Dry hits
Cannot clean easy

I did find a fix for my dry hit issue - I would unscrew the cap for a few seconds once I started getting dry hits. This would give wicking the push it needed. I was using high PG liquid which may have contributed to this issue.

My biggest issue is that after a few days, the seal between the metal part that screws onto the battery and the tank started to fail. I would get at first a very little bit of liquid coming through the part where these two pieces meet, and after another day it got much worse. There was not a crack. I was not too hard on the unit, and am always very careful to screw the Nano onto the battery holding the metal part as I was afraid this would happen. I always screw my stuff on this way, as I had cracks develop in a few X2 Clearos when I wasn't using this method.

For the price it is nice, but I find the CE3's to last a little longer. I'm sure I could have reinforced the seal and continued to use it, but I don't like to have to get that down and dirty with my vape stuff.

i just threw my 5 nanos away today,i was going to paint them, but when i saw how big the cracks in them were,i said the hell with them,,i did keep the mouth pieces,ya never now.

the cracks were not that big when i put them in a pill bottle for safe keeping, some thing funny going on with that plastic i think.

my nanos lasted less then a week,,i mean all five of them were junk in less then a week.

now my ce3s have lasted over 4 months from gv's, my ce3s from SI 4 out of 10 were junk out of the box,,so out of a total of 25 ce3s,i am still useing 21,,,not to bad i think.

i have just bought 10 more ce3s/reborn XLs from GVs and have opened one and it is pretty darn good and seems better the the original ce3s,,,,the only draw back is because of the new design,it holds less juice.

i will be buying more of these to keep on hand,,,may be long tough winter.

Interesting reading these posts. I experimented with both the CE3 and Nano from SI.

I am not a novice vaper, with experience among most of the current devices, 510 and 808. I have juice of varying viscosity so I used more and less viscous juices testing them both out.

The CE3 works great when they work. Good, clean flavor with proper throat hit and vapor. But- Only 2 out of each box of 5 were functional. The other 3 either instantly burned, leaked, or did not produce adequate vapor.

I am happy overall with the Nano but vapor/flavor/throat hit is not as good as the CE3. I have used 6 thus far with no failures of any kind.

Bottom line is that the Nano works, not fantastically, but reliably enough that I bought another 10 of them.

Update to my last post regarding the Nano:

I had given one yesterday to a coworker to try out. She used it last night, no problems. She brought it to work today and it completely drained on the way to work.

We live at 4500 foot elevation and work at 5000 feet. On the commute we pass through 6000 feet.

Soooo, I have a feeling the Nano does NOT like to be filled at lower altitude and then brought to higher altitude. I only used mine at home.

It seems the vacuum seal is broken causing a siphon effect with the change in altitude!

So larry, do you see a difference between the SI and the GV CE3s?

i had bought my ce3s from GV's about the 1st. of july..befor SI got theirs in to stock and i have just loved them....i kinda think the SI batch must have had a QC issue as every one was complaining about them....as i stated,i had bought 2 boxes from SI and the 1st 6 that i had used were ok and were just as good as the ones that i had from GV's,,,,but just this week i loaded the last 4 ce3s from SI and they went to leaking on me and a couple had a burning issue that i could not fix/cure,,like i can do most of the time.
i saved all the parts,,i don't ever throw any thing away as i can use the parts to repair on other to make a good one......now i did throw 5 nanos away ,,,they were junk from day 2,can't repair them.

Hi Rumble! Another Voltie from Baltimore!! I love the nanos. They are less trouble and less messy to fill then the CE3s and I've had no leaking issues or burnt taste. I'm using both with no problems. I got the black nanos that look way better on my batteries than the CE3s. That is just my personal preference. Aside from looks, they are much faster to fill once you realize that you have a 40-60 second window to get the top on or you will get leaking. Thumbs up from me!

Can someone post the link to gotvapes equivalent to the nano? I can't seem to get past this burning taste in my nanos. It is driving mad. I bought five and opened three and all burning taste. tried several tricks and still there. $12 waste of money thus far. I should have bought one to test it. I'm having to use cartos with my new volt x2. I'm getting sick of dripping them. I spoke to heather(I think that was the person's name) online and she told me to take the tip off for 5-10 minutes and it just leaked out.
