The new Echo-e cartos for Riva and Ego batteries

Did you fill with a syringe or add drop by drop? I ask because after reading your comment and various comments from others it seems that maybe the filler hasn't properly been soaked with juice. When I first started using a syringe I thought it was going to be a hassle and I just found it weird to be doing it that way but once I did it a few times I realized how fast and and effective it is to fill the carto up. The needle can be pushed all the way to the bottom of the cart and will fill it up from the bottom up. I am still using my first echo-e cart on my ego (started last Monday, 23rd) and have been filling it with a 20 gauge syringe. I purchased them online through Amazon (very cheap) but just google and you can search where to buy them. Don't go smaller than 20 gauge. Get 20 or 18 or even 16 gauge. I hope this maybe helps improve your experience with these carts. Happy vaping!!!!

Tried it both ways, but can't say that for the syringe-filled one the needle was inserted all the way to the bottom. I'll give that a try tonight.

I fill the syringe and then "inject" equal amounts into cart at 10, 2, and 6 o'clock positions. Good luck...

Are these any better than the XL LR carts for the Ego?
I got one of those, filled the cart (well over 75 drops), let it sit and tried it.
First few hits...wow! But it doesn't seem to wick up the juice. The bottom part is full of juice, but the top is dry, so I need to top it off.
The coil on the XL LR atty is HUGE! When it works, it's wonderful. I think part of my problem is that I'm a chain vaper. Love those flavors too much! It seems the device just can't keep up with my desires.
Anyway, I put that away and went with the Type B Ego tank set up. While I'm "ok" with that, I've never, ever had the clouds of vapor that people rhapsodize about! And the attys seem to not wick fast enough for me.
Will this Echo E be like the Ego XL LR cart? Or is it different?
Inquiring minds want to know.

The difference is the Echo-e carto is horizontal and located at the bottom where the juice is.

i dont see these cartos having wicking problems at all if you are using 80/20 or 70/30.
some have said when they use thicker liquds and especially when they use more vg than pg, they have to wait a tad between the puffs. at 80/20 its not a problem.

I want to see how long it will last and so far the one that I am using is preforming very well. I get more vapor and flavor from it than I do from the A or B Type atty tanks. The flavor on my Turbine is good without the warmth. Yes the draw is light for me also but since I use a manual battery I keep the button depressed until I can feel the vapor entering the mouthpiece then I take a slow and light inhale.

Both of my e-cartos, threads onto my battery roughly and I hope that this will be taken care of in the future.

Yes and no. When I got home I found that of the three I thought I'd tested, I had only filled two of them. Between the two one had a slight burned taste, the other not much vapor.

They'd been sitting with juice in them all day but for both I did a 3-point needle-to-the-bottom "top off" fill and let them sit another 10 minutes. Neither vaped much better than before -- the burned taste is still there, and the other has a little more vapor but I get much more from my tanks.

I took the last one and did the 3-point deep needle fill from the start, let it sit a few minutes and fired it up. Now THIS one... this one's a winner. It's not tons more vapor than I get from my tanks, but it's definitely more (sorry, I'm a bit of a literalist sometimes so maybe some would call it "tons" more). Taste is equal to or better than the best of any cartomizers I've ever used. If they were all like this, I'd be very satisfied.

As it is, though, I have to ask... is it worth buying four cartomizers at $5.00 a pop to get one or two "golden" ones? That's assuming that the replacement for the one with a definite manufacturing defect is as good as the last one I filled, and that the fill method is the key to making them work well.

I guess the answer to that (for me) is... it depends. For about the same as what I spent on these I could get a Type B atty and five tanks. I've haven't tried Type B's yet but have heard very good things about them. Given my overall positive experience with Type A's I am inclined to think B's would be at least as good. It might be worth comparing Echo-e and Type B the next time I'm buying hardware.

Of course, it's possible I could take the two "iffy" cartos apart, clean them... see what makes them tick in the process... put 'em back together and maybe they'll work great after that. But while I understand that in its current state vaping requires some tinkering around, honestly the change from smoking to vaping has already taken up more resources in time and money than I'd hoped (not to say that it's not worth it... it is! overall... ) but I really need to reclaim some time now and in the interest of that I'm becoming slightly less inclined to deal with things that will require tinkering.

All that said, I'm not ready to completely give up on the Echo-e. I'll give the replacement that's coming a fair shot and, if it only takes one tear-down / clean / rebuild to make the other two work well... that will make the investment worthwhile. I've certainly had worse experiences.

Just to be clear, I'm not dissing on Cropduster, or questioning anyone else's great experience with the Echo-e. As I've seen, when you get a good one you get a GOOD one. I'm just relating my experience (so far).

If things improve with a little work, I'll be sure to report it.

Given my overall positive experience with Type A's I am inclined to think B's would be at least as good. It might be worth comparing Echo-e and Type B the next time I'm buying hardware.

I really like the type B; they are much better than type A. I also like the 510-T. I ordered my first type A atties in late January and they are still alive, but I'm using the Bs and the 510s exclusively now.

Mine works very good too although I haven't used it much being as I'm using my Echo 1300 auto mostly but they are basically the same carto only the standard Echo holds about 3.5 ml instead of the 2.5 for the e-carto. They both work real good for me.

Cropduster has his site back up and running. He switched from paypal to google check out and it works good. I just ordered some Chrome cartos and it worked real good and quick.

i am only getting 4 or 5 refills out of my cartos and i tried cleaning one of them and bleh...it was nothing like a new carto.so roughly i need to replace the carto every 3 days, which comes to more than a dollar/day. i think i will keep getting the signature cartos from elitevaporworks (5 for $9 and free shipping) they will last me 3 days a piece. (yes i have tried them).
kind of a bummer because the first day or two the echo cartos are fantastic.

i used mohawks method from the go-go thread.
when i tried dry burning the carto, the coil on the bottom is connected to the base with 2 white glue-like dots.
one of them turned brown when i dry burned it (for about 4 seconds).
its also very critical that the filler goes in the cone very precisely, leave it little too high and you get burnt taste, push it down little too far and you have to suck like the dickens.
i guess cleaning just isnt my thing...but i like the batteries and the vapor and flavor enough that i will buy these cartos in bulk (maybe 20 or 30 at a time) in a week or two and use every carto 3 days and toss it.

Thanks cleaning at least by taking out the filler isn't my cup of tea either. I will save them and attempt it someday lol. Mohawkx and others have got real efficient at it and can clean them real quick but I'm all thumbs and missing an index finger, blind in one eye and can't see out of the other so it isn't quite as easy for me. lol
So far I haven't had to toss or clean any after three weeks but I did break two. I'm rotating three and so far so good.
I'm talking about the standard Echo carto. I didn't realize we were on the echo-e thread. I haven't used my e-carto much but it is still working good.

I got one too but I haven't tried it on anything but my eyeglasses.lol What are you using for cleaning liquid?
