I think...... one of the reasons the price went up is that they're going to Stainless Steel instead of aluminum. The other reason is the cost of manufacturing goods and labor is rising due to the economic situation. When machine shops aren't doing as much pass thru work they raise they're small custom work to offset the shortages.
And all the metal prices are up right now, especially stainless steel, aluminum and copper.

The quality of product they offer and produce justifies the pricing. *I think*

I had it down for them to email when the pspt come back in stock but never got the email that was at 36.00 i think so i get an email today and now its 69.00 wow I guess they didn't make enough money on thier new toy...
Its the new and improved version, better switch, 2 e-clips vice 1, and stainless steel, nice!!!!
Plus if you read the post by Cash from a couple of days ago he explains that the production costs are going way up.

Its worth it, you won't have to by another PT for a while thats for sure.

It isn't like that at all....

The cost of stainless steel and labor has spiked. The original PT was made of aluminum and had a cheaper switch.

I was waiting and waiting for them to restock the USB Pass. I'm so glad I was able to get in on ordering the new and improved version and be one of the first to have it! One of my gripes about the "old" one was that I thought the coord would be too long.. that wouldn't have stopped me from buying it, but now that the new model has a reduced length I think I'll be completely satisfied.

I only wish it included a DC>USB adapter, but that's ok.. I found a post that had a link to a pretty nice one that was only 3.95 included shipping!

USB Dual Power Adapter

I'm so glad I waited and made this my first "high end" PV purchase. I'll be one of the first to order the V2 of the Prodigy whenever that becomes available as well. :)
