Professor Boden,

What would be the effects on the wick. If you hot wrapped a coil with a torch onto the wick, but you did it far enough away from the flame of the torch that while you were able to glow the wire red, the wick itself was never heated to a point where it glowed?

If that's a washout, I guess I'll have to pull out my modified Captian Dan's plastic fantastic electric love hug
jig.

Nope.

Nope.

Yep.
Dan

It's difficult to tell since there is no sense of scale, but would it have something to do with an atty to utilize the new conductive-dipped ceramics? I figured the white thingies in the background would be used for isolating the electrics....

Looks like I wasn't the only one trying this out last night. lol

I found some plastic bushings and hacked one up to fit in my D14. I wanted to see if a smaller volume air chamber helped any. It might just be in my head but I think there was a slight improvement in vapor production and flavor.

Polypro probably doesn't taste to good so I didn't leave it in there to long because I was afraid I'd forget it was in there and jar it into the coil. It was just a quick test so I didn't secure it to anything.

Yes, I think your onto something there, our usually flamboyant Daniel, has bee deafingly quiet about his brainstormings with the conductive tipped ceramic folks.

What is this D14 you have? How wide is it? Thanks and how is the plastic bushing working?

The shapeway parts look like they would interlock and you said custom magnets......So my guess is a screw in 510 magnetic atty quick disconnect.

Ahhhh very good, the shapeway parts do interlock (perfect design for what I envision). 2 per device BTW, but its not an atty quick disconnect device :)

Quiet, because I have not heard anything yet :(

The Aquarius can be used on this though :)

D14 is the mini DiD. The 14 is the diameter in mm.
I only used the bushing for about a half hour or so before I took it out. Again, I'm not sure if it made that much difference. Might have been in my head. lol

It is not really a mod - it's is built from scratch to fit onto the ego's and yes, a 2mm wick fits in there. The juice is wicked to the ceramic by means of cotton, right at the top (behind the S/S screen on top and the coil sit just below it)

Thought I had seen that somewhere before :) and I did!

Love the look of that l3oertjie, very stylish.

That is the perfect size I'm looking for. Where can I see these?

Dan is building a mod for the coated ceramic wicks done by thermostone.

Good Idea but nope...

Being as we have a bag from shapeways there, I'd say Dan is building the next co-op and keeping the number of parts per unit down. And, it has a magnetic switch.

LOL uhhh no....
Ding Ding Ding... Yes it is a magnetic switch assembly when all put together but more LOL
The parts from shapeways hold the magnets in them and the holders interlock, so it can only go up and down, no spinning or cocking.
