The nickel foam is very interesting indeed.
That saw works great. The only thing I miss is having a sled.
The small grinder you probably want to look at the variable speed for $5 more.
I use this wet/dry grinder from HF and it works great. I use the dry wheel for aggressive rough shaping and the wet wheel to get the wicks nice and round and smooth. Make sure you get a dressing wheel or something for dressing a dry wheel, they clog up fairly quickly.

Dremel + 2" diamond disks (ebay) is as cheap as you can go for a quick ceramic setup. I use the edge of the disk for cutting blanks, and the flat side for shaping.
It works!!! And actually works pretty dang good.
U shaped vertical bird house wick, 1.7ohm 30g coil....Hardly any to no noticeable lag.
With the wick fairly tight to the walls of the inner chamber juice wicks to the top of the wick.
So far no hot splatter.
I'm getting a good vape at around 9.5 watts

Uh, bap it has been quiet this weekend which I understand all too well, but what mod is this bad boy sitting on? It reminds me of something up mamu's alley, but don't take offense if that is not true.
