Just finished two wicks for the DID(D20) & ZAP.... and then SNAP goes the ZAP... i was soo proud of it too

Yes it will, BUT.....
That model has one 60w transducer, and the timer only goes up to 8 minutes.
For the exact same money I would recommend this one, it has twice the ultrasonic power (2-60w transducers), as well as a timer that goes up to 99 minutes..
I have it and I love it.
Oh, sorry, I thought you were contemplating buying one.
Yours will work just fine. It is better than most of the consumer ones which only have 35w transducers. Plus the 60w transducers in these dental models tend to be decent quality.
My first outing. Went 4 for 6 on the straight round wicks. The U wicks will need a lot of fine tuning. Found the process to be very relaxing.

(yes I agree, Tibs) IF my Russian 91s and Rockets ever arrive I want to try monkey bar wicks. Any suggestions from the trailblazers?
Do the downlegs have to be rounded? And how do you cut out the underside of the bar without chopping off a leg? It does appear more difficult to shape than the round wicks but I do hope it is worth the extra effort.
Also have a couple of kayfun minis but the smaller size looks too intimidating for the monkey bar, though maybe after some experience....

Some folks have been successful running straight bar wicks in the Kayfun/Russian by wrapping the coil around the ceramic wick, mounting the wick across the air hole as usual, screwing on the lower "chimney" section & then packing the area around the wick with cotton - making sure the ends of the wick have solid contact with the cotton (don't forget to leave the area above the coil open), assemble as normal...done.
The cotton will keep the ceramic wick fed with juice.... I believe one of our Australian brethren had pictures posted of his setup a while back, and was very pleased with its performance.
Give it a try...as soon as my 91% arrives, I'm setting mine up this way.

Agree with ^. The easier method for using ceramic in a Kayfun is what Namvet68 posted. You really only need the ceramic where the coil contact is.

BTW, your down legs dont need to be rounded.
The downlegs are rounded on thier outside because they are following the contour of the chimney, but they don;t need to be. My suggestion is to make your down legs tapered. at the foot of the downleg where it hits the deck make it twice or more wider than the cross bar, then taper the downleg so that where it meets the cross bar it is the same diameter.for shaping the cross bar round and cutting out the underside clean I use a small diamond file that is 5mm wide and 1mm thick you can find them on line pretty easily. the reason I suggest the tapered legs is that it seems to wick more juice and it creates a more consistent vape, before I tapered the legs I would get the occasional flood or dry hit, not anymore, and for whatever reason the kayfun seems to vape better the more ceramic you can get in the chamber.All in all the wicks for the kayfun are easier and more fun to make than the rod wicks. it's alot harder to snap one.
Many thanks for all of your suggestions and tips for the kayfun devices!!! I will start shaping wicks this weekend and hope that the Russians arrive some month soon (though the waiting may be even tougher with the wicks seductively taunting me). Much appreciated!
So far I have made one ceramic wick, for my RSST. Unfortunately I did not have a diamond coated blade for the rotary tool, but I had a large stack of standard cut-off wheels, and after going through perhaps 8 of those I had my wick shaped. It was slightly larger than my RSST's insulated wick opening, so I removed the insulation and it fit nicely. Wrapped a 3/4 coil around it and tried it out for a couple of days on the Vamo.
While it worked, it was not as good as my cotton wicked Protanks. So I thought that perhaps it needed a little help getting more juice up the wick, and I pulled the coil off and started again, this time wrapping 2 strands of Peaches and Creme yarn (half a yarn string) around the ceramic from the bottom spiraling up to the top, and wrapping the coil around it. That produced much better vapor and it seems to keep the ceramic much more lubricated.
While still an experiment in progress it does seem promising and gives me something to play around with while I am at home. When I am out and at work I still carry the mech mods and Protanks rather than the RSST (leaks if not kept upright, no fill hole stopper, etc) but I think eventually I may get the RSST to the point that it might one day become my preferred vape at home rather than a Protank. Maybe. It does have going for it the fact that the wick would need to be replaced FAR less often, but it is not really conducive for a daily carry/travel rig.
