Nice pair Ms T! :p You have excellent taste...;)

Wow! A wee run on tumbled mini's ? What are the odds?

Cheers to both you and JP......:toast:

Hehe. Aside from being the cutest thing I've seen, it fits in my hands just right. Weight and size are spot on.

Now it just needs a nice drip tip

Just read the whole thread. All 32 pages...
Still not going mechanical, fearing an explosion since my knowledge of electricity is limited to turning bedroom lights off...
Are there any regulated mods that the nico family recommends or is sub ohm vaping the way to go?

Coumarin pipe... Grappler... dirty water for any tank

HD, The only fear is fear itself. The Reo is a fairly simple and straight forward unit to learn. No need to sub ohm as the RM2 is a fine RDA and very versatile throughout the build range. A 1.2 ohm build generates great flavor and quite decent vapor production. With a good coil build and the proper batteries, its every bit as safe as any equipment on the market today. A good coil can last for weeks or even months at a time when properly maintained . Then its just a matter of getting a feel as to when to change out the batteries and wick. It becomes as simple as load, squonk and go with all the flavor and enjoyment of dripping with much less hassle to go along with it.

Not pushing an agenda here, just enjoy seeing the family (and everyone) get the most out of their joose! :D

Mechanical mods scare me too...I've started getting over it but it took me 7/8 months. And really once you read up and start using them it's not so scary. But there are other options if that’s not where you want to go right now (I’ve learned you definitely never say never with vaping…it’ll make a liar of you every time.)

Rob used to make VV REO Grands. You can find them for sale on the classifieds if you watch for them
  • You would get to try the bottom feeder if you're interested and have a fully regulated mod
  • Up to 15W, 3.3-5.5 V
  • You remove batteries to charge versus internal batteries, if that is a concern either way
  • May come w/the official NT Approved Delivery Device Seal of Approval (I didn't see any fine print that says it has to be mechanical :D )

My metallic reo is too pretty and shiny to leave the house every day, and I like to take multiple flavors and don't want to carry multiple reos, so...

Don't tell everyone, but really my little vaporshark DNA30 is my main device and I love it.
  • it's teeny tiny (some bigger tanks hang over, even a kayfun lite hangs over a mm or two)
  • Most DNA30s can go down to .5Ω if you want to try moderate sub-ohming.
  • Personally some of my favorite liquids I prefer in a tank, and on the vs I run them hotter than I did on my itaste (I like warm vapor)
  • Other DNAs are prettier/cooler/nicer looking and some are of better quality, but vs is generally cheaper/quicker to get in your hand. No wait was a big selling point for me, if you're shopping for a DNA30 your concerns may be different.
  • Shortish battery life, internal battery (other DNA30s have longer life/removable battery), but it has passthrough mini usb charging

I'm not sure what you're using now, but if it's not vv and/or vw - there's tons of options for vv/vw which lets you fine tune your vaping experience and could bring something new to the table.
  • Personally I started w/an itaste, but there's many options out there, box mods, tube mods, different specs...depends on what you're looking for.

Quick question : does the cyclone without the AFP cap fit on an LP reo ?

Yes, should not be a problem. Middle Reo in the pic.

Great post Emily! And so very true. My first vv anything was my itaste VTR and I still use it today. ( my garage unit as its built like a tank!) This is the beauty of the vaping world as there are so many options to choose from in order for one to get their groove on.

The last time I read the rules, there was nothing there that said you had to go mechanical and as far as I know, no one has been shunned for not doing so. :)

I have read and re-read all the battery stuff I can find and understand. I am very confident that I can use a mechanical setup without fear of blowing up. I use batteries that are rated safe for subohming and I usually stay around 1.2 ohms on my builds. I was very frightened to try them at first, so I understand any concerns a person might have. The great people here have taught me the ins and outs of battery safety.

So, that all being said: I now own about 6 mech mods (got great prices at a Vape Fest ... like $5 and $10 a piece for stuff like the Nzonic and the Galileo) as well as the Reo. I found that wrapping coils was a breeze with Dante Inferno's lil jiggernaut. I can even wrap using a drill bit. They do last forever with just a little maintenance like dry burning and rewicking. I have really cut down on the cost of vaping. No heads to buy. I primarily use the Reo and my ZMax with the Kayfun. I can use the Kayfun with a mech, just haven't done it.

I believe a Reo is the best thing I have ever found for vaping. Dripping flavor without dripping. I drive a truck OTR for two weeks out of every 4 and found that my clearos and cartos just didn't hold up to the changes in altitude and barometric pressure. The Reo functions like a champ...all the time! So easy to use, so easy to build and so tasty!

If you are frightened of a Reo, keep reading and try to get comfortable. It is unbelievably wonderful. If you buy it, try it, don't like it, you can sell it for what you paid. Win - Win, right?

Yeah... still a bit frightening trying uncharted waters...
Just got an mvp2. Gonna try coil building first just to get my confidence up.
Keep telling myself baby steps baby steps

I am partial to the fit of the mini in my hand too. I did finally put this baby down last night before I went to bed. :p Still haven't decided if I can get away with taking it to work but I think it's going to be in my purse tomorrow. There's a learning curve to squonking but I'm getting a little better. I would like a little better air flow though. And I need more Wakonda!!

Don't worry we were all there once, take your time and eventually it will come around. Don't forget too that the Reo has something a lot of mechs don't have, a hot spring. This nifty feature is designed to collapse in the even of a short preventing the Reo from firing anymore. It's also replaceable so even in the event of a hard short you can replace it, fix whatever issue you were having and vape your Reo like nothing ever happened.

Add a rm2 with its ceramic deck and build space and your odds of a short drop even more. :D

I'd say a Provari, but I think there is a v3 due out soon...

Any of the DNA30 mods out there, I have a ZNA30 that I really like...

On the budget end, I keep a Vamo v2 and it's treated me right.

The MVP 2 is popular - bought one for my sister.

With the regulated mvp you should be fine. Just don't poke yourself with the ends of the kanthal or touch the wire too soon after torching it. I don't have the link handy, but Amazon has a coil winding gizmo that makes it a lot easier.
