Thanks to The Ocelot, a veteran member who has created her own way of using the condom method to prime flanged replacement cartos for DCT tanks. (All the flanged replacement cartos I've bought have been packaged in heat-sealed bags, so they don't come with carto condoms -- I collect those like crazy, though, so I always have a few on hand).
Step 1. Take a carto condom. Fill it up with juice. Stick the top of the flanged replacement carto into the juice-filled condom and push down. Let it soak up.
Step 2. Flip it right-side up (don't take it out of the condom yet). Flick it like a syringe. Pull the condom off. Blow from the TOP of the carto with the connection base nestled into the condom to collect excess juice. You can use this to top of the carto or squeeze back into your juice bottle, but I've found it's not necessary for either (unless it's Boba's!)
Step 3. Wipe the entire carto down with a napkin, especially around the connection base.
Step 4. Slide it up back into the tank (hopefully with a slap yo mama tool), fill your tank with juice, voila, a primed carto within 1 minute.
I tried it. The Ocelot method. It works.
