Switched you used to oxidize the whole wick
The last batch of pre-oxidized wicks that I received only have their tips oxidized. I don't use them in a genesis tank, but I cut them into pieces to use in my Phoenix RBAs
Now I have to get a blow torch
Go into a kitchenware store or department and find a chef's torch. Usually about $10-15 and use butane, they work great for oxidizing wick.

Yup! we still make mods and will be developing several in 2013 to include but not limited to the 20mm. Something I am working on the Magnascope 2013 will also see some wood mods

Oh wow, you've got the Pyrex tubing! I have GOT to pick me up some of that this weekend. This may be the answer to my Genesis woes, because apparently, I can't make proper Genesis wicks to safe my life from a slow death of being poked with a stick by a tree sloth.
