Congrats, ypu you will need a 510-801 adaptor to use the fusions. Wrt the video, check out the original from the man Pyrex and SS wick (Shorty 15mm) - YouTube what is not stated...

you roll your coil on a 1/8" drill bit

you then attached your coil (still on drill bit) to the atty

slip your pyrex tubing in the wick hole and then slip your wick (unoxidized) in the tube. Woila :)

I am by passing that one Eric as well as re-stocking the Pyrex tubing until things go mainstream.

Fair enough. I think my package from you with the tube and mesh arrived today anyway so I'm gonna experiment with that. I'd really like to see the progress of the porous ceramic wick though. That one looks particularly promising.

All is cool Eric. When you read the entire threads (pyrex and ceramic) we are still in prototyping. That being said I am lurking in earnest and will pounce when the time is right ;)

Yeah, I've been reading the thread with great interest. It's funny too because I recall a hybrid atomizer that was part of a mod some time back (probably over a year ago) that contained porous ceramic as a reservoir, so I guess with the recent interest in Genesis rebuildables going more mainstream (within the confines of the vaping world anyway) it was only a matter of time before this was tried. The results Dan has posted so far look incredibly promising, so I really hope we can get our hands on this at some point; properly cured ceramic wicks should provide an even better flavour than SS mesh and you don't need to worry about shorts.

Quick question, Scubabatdan has been experimenting with porous ceramic rods for wicking. Any plans on trying that out and/or carrying it? Though they tend to be brittle, it sounds like these might be a very good (and easier to use) alternative to SS mesh (with or without Pyrex tubing).

Herein, Raidy's view on the subject...

I tested porous ceramics as early as 2011 and the results announced in the German forum.
Summary: Porous ceramic works and does not work.
Why?
The porosity is low, the ceramic clogged very quickly by the liquid residues.
Is the porosity big liquid runs out.

But since I have another solution, I'm going to invest any more time in porous ceramics.
And i hope that i can show it in the next tree month. It depends not on me, there are othe problems.
But thats a difficult story.
