Just my opinion but where you are at now is just about right for the RM2 with the stock intake. By opening it up or going with an AFC atty such as the Cyclone or others will open up the possibility's for more exotic builds. Any lower ohms and the vape can get quite warm using the stock RM2.

Here's a little trick for flushing the tube in between flavors using vodka or water but with a liquid such as Sure Bert that has been in the bottle for a while it is sometimes necessary to give the bottle and tube a more aggressive soak in Everclear or isopropyl to get rid of the residual flavors.

I use the same 28 gauge, 2 mm 7 wraps and have for some time. I am currently trying KGD to see if it's any different or better than cellucotton/rayon (not so far). I just got some 26 in on Friday though, what's the sloth's method for that if you don't mind sharing?

2mm with 26 guage @ 8 wraps

That's a killer tip, I'm taking note of that for my own REO, thanks for the tidbit

Nice tip! Tube probably still needs a soak, SB was FOB, maybe why the lime was so strong?

I'll probably end up opening the hole some on the RM2, the draw is bit restrictive. I've also noticed that the stock tip is a bit narrow as well.

Liquids such as citrus and mint are pretty aggressive with the plastics which is why I mostly use them in a dripper or RTA and even then they still sometimes need a good soak.

The RM2 is easy to drill. What I did was increase in increments. There ain't no going back once you start... I have mine opened up to 2mm and I'm running a 0.65 twisted 30 coil in it. Killer flavor and good vapor for a small atty.

Spot on. I *finally* got all my REO Grands milled (Rob was fantastic!) and had the reverse 510 connections installed. I upgraded to the Nuppin, a pair of Cyclones with AFC, and a legit Marquis - all drilled out by Catfish Atty Mods. (good people by the way) I'm an airflow junkie - there's no amount of drilling I can do on an RM2 these days that's going to provide the vape I want.

Yup, a co-op I'm in on another forum is having a lot of this happening. Contact eleaf with any problems and see what they say. The problems so far are from the last co-op for the 50's and I have two coming in the current one *fingers crossed*
I have no idea about the iSticks, but my DNA 30 was doing that and it was the firing button that was bad. Had to send it back for a new one. Not as easy to do with a disposable mod...

I refused to take the DNA on the truck with me since the noise would have made it impossible to hear if it was firing all by itself. It is scary when the electrical gremlins get to messin' with our vape gear!

WARNING!!! I just had a scare. Was sitting at my desk when I heard a sizzlng sound! Looked over at my rack and one of my Eleaf 50's was auto firing even though it was off! Had to grab it and remove the atty to get it to stop!
iSticks aren't bad things per say, the big issue overall is quality control. For example, it's like monitors. There is only so much you can do to make a monitor display a good picture unless you're truly innovating. So you get a cheaper monitor, it doesn't mean that it doesn't have the same general technology of a more expensive one. There is just a good chance that they aren't going to pull a unit for problems, or even check for problems riding on the gambit that you might not return it if there isn't something seriously wrong with it. Same with the iStick, they seem good units, but you have a much bigger chance of getting something with a problem then if you get a DNA chip or similar.

Unfortunately this one could be considered a design flaw. Liquid gets past the 510 causing the circuit board to malfunction. Best way to avoid it is to make sure whichever atty you are using doesn't leak any liquid. In my case, I over dripped the liquid in the rda I was using causing it to drip down the side from the air intake but it happened only once.

Quick question. I have a twisted 28g coil at 0.6ohms in a rm2. When I fire it it sizzles after I let go of the firing button and I'm getting a burnt flavor. When I dry burn it the coils get red from the middle out but on one side it catches fire. I've drowned myself several times from over squonking thinking it's because my wick is dry, but it's not. Any advice?

Without seeing the coil, it sounds as if it could be a hot leg or hotspot situation in which case the coil could use more of a pinch. This is where a pair of rounded ceramic tweezers comes in handy as they allow you to make the necessary adjustments for optimum glow while the coil is fired.

Also sounds like you have too much wick. Are you tucking a bit of wick under the coil? Sometimes that keeps juice under the coil that never vapers off and get heated over and over and tastes burnt after a bit. Dry burn your coil, minus wick, and try a different wick configuration.

I just did this with my three bottom fed mods and the wicks and coils were old and groady.... :/
