Afternoon everyone. Have had my Opus D about a month now and loving it. I have a bit of a problem right now and am at work. I'm wondering if one of you could save me the time and trouble of searching through over 700 posts for the answer?

I had a kayfun Lite on the Opus and it crapped out and needed to be re-coiled. After that, the Opus readout says "Check Atomizer" on everything I put on it. Any hints as to how to correct this? Thanks in advance!

I am pretty sure if you let the battery drain down to empty and then recharge it, it will reset.

Thanks. After a bit of reading, I saw that letting the battery die does the trick for a couple of other issues so I'm hoping it takes care of this too. Lol my only concern is that it may take a week before the battery dies with no atty on it.

You didn't turn if off by any chance accidentally did you? (Stupid question I'm sure you already checked). I had issues where my ohms meter and voltage were not showing correct numbers, both times draining it fixed the issue. But like you said, takes a while to drain it until there's nothing on the screen

No clue how to turn it off!
Just pick it up and push the button every so often, it'll drain the battery faster.
You must be reading my mail :) That's exactly what I'm doing!

Hey guys. Been loving the Opus D, got a red one on the last batch. I saw in the thread where someone posted that the display isn't showing the resistance (0.0 ohms), and I'm having that problem myself. It does seem to still calculate the resistance, I'm just not seeing it on the screen. I've got it drained down to where it will no longer fire and it reads "check battery". Is that the point where you should be able to plug it in and it will correct itself/show the resistance reading? Or does it need to get to a point where nothing is on the screen at all? Thanks :)

Knock on wood my Opus D is just amazing. I've dropped it several times, not even a scratch, looks brand new. Love this thing. I'm using a Kir Fanis Trap Tank with a top fill hole and needle bottle (switch betwen Halo Tribeca and COV4). The trap tank is great as it's short and stubby, with a short contoured stainless brushed drip tip, keeps it very low profile and pocketable. The AGR Tank is good too (love the top fill hole), but it's a little longer than the trap tank (lot cheaper though). I've noticed the battery life has gotten better now after a month of owning it, I can go all day on a charge, but I will plug it in for a few minutes during the day just to make sure. Perfect balance of battery life to size/weight ratio in my opinion. They really knocked it out of the park.

The finish is great, only "chalkboard-ish) if you run your nail along it, but super durable and takes a beating. The button is perfect, you can fire it from off angle, not too big, not too small, and in a perfect spot for a thumb fire or reverse grip index finger fire. Thumb fire works best when it's charging. Nice throw, no click (which I like). The wheel is perfect too, again no click and you don't really have to turn it per se, just gently push in the direct and it changes watts, love that.

The other thing I like about it is I can run anything on it. Cisco 306's at 1.5 ohms (that drop to 1.1 pretty quick with my juice), it keeps firing when all my other mods "low load", so it's a great dripper mod too, just keep an eye on the leaks. That's a great setup as well, 306 atty with a deep contour 306 tip, super clean and almost zero extra weight. Frickin awesome!

My only wishlist item would be a new Opus D with a side mount (like the new Itaste VTR, but that thing is a monster, and way too shiny and blingy for my taste, plus it weighs over 13 oz!). They could make the Opus D a touch wider (for the side mount, tank whatever -- same length, same height, but no top mount 510, build it into the side. It would square it off, make it even more "pocketable". Probably about the same size as a pack of cigs.

Anyway, if you have any hesitation about this mod, just buy it. Everything else I own is gathering dust. Cheers Here's some mod porn for ya

nitro, let it go to nothing... nothing at all.

(sorry, that was a shameless ploy to get Ski back online and posting...)

Push the button every 4 minutes or so until the screen is totally blank and then charge it up. It will reset the board and you will be good to go.

Wait. It's possible to have hesitation about this mod? :D After I got my first one in I also let everything else start collecting dust. The 2 I have are my all day everyday devices.
