However, also remember, running to cut-off on a regular basis is a bad idea. As I have posted previously, and in other threads, these batts like to be topped-off. Running them to cut-off (counting "hours") can result in reduced number of charge cycles over the lifespan of the batt and it "can" also result in reduced life/use timer per charge cycle. While this will not happen immediately, or from the occasional use to cut-off, it is much better for the batts to be recharged BEFORE reaching the cut-off.

Nice! I believe he was asking to avoid cutoff which is something I always worry about.

I do love and enjoy my Opus though, I've been using a 3ohm 801 fusion carto in a tank. I usually drip, but I guess I've been worried about leaking. Also, most of my atomizers have been getting dry faster. Kind of like I have to relearn how to drip. Haha!

BTW, that is an older post. ignore the dry burn part and just blow out the atty a few times each day. Now there are atty cleaner drops you can buy or make for when you want to change flavor. I think the mix is something like 10% everclear and 90% PG.

Oh I use fresh atties everytime... I primarily dripped with my Provari v2, and once I got the Opus on Monday, I've used my carto tanks more. But I have 3 hh357s, 2 sealed atties from COV, 3 306 atties, and I think 2 ikenvape atties, allong with a bunch of older atties I might start using again on my opus. I also have a pheonix rba, and cyclon v2, but I haven't gotten the hang of rebuilding the cyclon yet, lol.

Yes I was just reporting results and I know running to cutoff regularly will not be good for the battery. There are too many variables. I am happy with the battery life. Someone asked for a report of same so I gave my results. People were saying they're getting "all day" whatever that means, work day, wake up to sleepy time, who the hell knows. 10 ml on a cycle? 1200 mah battery. Wow, I wish I could get that. It would take me a 26650 to get that probably.

I would say it's probably going to give you the same results as maybe 2 AW IMR 600mah 18350 or 1 AW IMR 1100mah 18500 in a VV device. New ones. Approximately, with variables, sort of, YMMV.

Again why I recommended a portable power source if you can't plug in during your outings. I love mine.

To prevent battery damage, the DNA 12 will shut off if the battery voltage dips below 3.1 volts (loaded) for more than .25 seconds.

Seems I read somewhere a imr18650 cut-off is around 2.75 volts...don't know about other batts....

Most APVs with variable voltage will cut off at 3.3v unloaded. IMRs themselves should not be discharged below 2.5V, but do not themselves have low battery discharge protection ACBs like protected Li-ion batteries do.

Quick question for anyone willing to read. When attempting to charge my Opus via a Usb cable plugged into my computer, or a car adapter the charge light goes off for a second, then comes back on it does this every few seconds. It still charges on the ac adapter just fine. I thought maybe it was a bad Usb cable so I went out and bought a brand new one, with the same issue. Any info is greatly appreciated!

It might be that your usb port is putting out too many (milli)amps? Mine charges fine on the USB and ac adapter, but when I tried it on my portable power supply's 2amp output, it did what you are describing, but charged fine on its 1 amp output. So that's the only thing I can think of. Hopefully a DNA expert will chime in but in the meantime you could try giving the folks at Evolv or Opusvapor a holler. Let us know what you find out. Here's what the fine folks over at Opus Vapor had to tell me "There are reasons why it does that and we are now looking into ways to make the Opus more friendly to other chargers. It will charge but ever so slowly. We will let you know when we come up with a good solution for this."

I'm curious as to what kinda wattage I'm running when the arrow on the potentiometer is sitting directly between the - & + symbol? Meaning it's pointing directly at the screw between the 2 symbols. Any help is greatly appreciated.
