One of the negative posts got stripped on my v1. Threads won't catch unless the screw is pushed almost completely in, which makes it useless. Cannot put a coil through it. Those hex screws are crap. I ordered a v2. Hopefully they replaced the screws with something better.

That's an easy fix, Venusian.... find the next size screw and get the appropriate tap. I had a post do that on a different atty. I re-tapped the posts for a 2-56 screw and switched to a quality SS hex head 2-56 screw... I've had no problems with that atty at all since.

Is there any difference between the v1 and v2 other than the fill hole?

I'm having a hell of a time getting the wicking right on mine. Burnt, dry hits galore. I've tried it with everything from having the juice channels completely filled with cotton to only having a tiny amount in each channel. All that's left is to leave the channels completely unobstructed, but everyone says it floods when you do that, so idk. Frustrating.

Supposedly bigger juice channels as well.
Try leaving the channels completely unobstructed and tucking a couple of wraps of cotton yarn underneath the coil/wick if you get flooding (learned that from the rayon thread yesterday).

That's a great price on them.Only difference i see between the 2 is the one for $12.64 says it ships in a paper box,so basically your paying a dollar and some change more for a box haha.

Different suppliers, looks like. Black box with cheaper one, brown box with more expensive one. But yeah, looks like they even used the same exact pics for everything else. Specs and extras look the same. Could be two different suppliers/same manufacturer, or something like that, or two different manufacturers and they just fudged the photos.

My Pulse-G came in a similar brown box and my First mod came in a similar soft black box. Both contents are great. The brown box is presented a little better though (foam, etc.). They just shove everything into those flimsy black boxes. My Infinite KFL and 1:1 Cats RDA came in a much sturdier black box with foam...and that's all the boxes I've seen so far.

my fasttech v1 just got shipped today and I was thinking of doing a little modification to the topcap for refilling sort of liek the ghost refill for the kayfun but drilling the ss instead of the plastic
A1C48BD0-0DCC-47FA-819C-4A927CC890D4.jpg

just unscrew a few threads and expose the hole in the ss fill and re-screw
will it work or am I missing something big here

Wow, what a good idea. If it were me, I would drill two small holes instead of one big hole, to preserve as much of the threads as possible (maybe just big enough for the needle to go through). You would need some way to displace the air as you squirt in liquid, and I would think that preserving as much of the threads as possible would make crossthreading less likely. Watch out for burrs in the threads. If you have a Kayfun, maybe try screwing onto a metal ring before hitting the plastic. :2c:

But if you fill from there, wouldn't you miss a little bit of juice capacity?

Got my V2 today. I think it may have slightly deeper channels compared to the V1 clone I have. Bottom fill hole is definitely a plus. Screws on this one seem to be about the same but I did not have any issues with any of the negative posts that I had with my V1. Probably the particular v1 I got was just bad.

Well this figures. I got my V2 and I tried the spare screws on my V1 and it works. I tried every spare with the V1 and none will thread until it was pushed almost completely in.

The first Orchid I got has the blank chimney and the V2 has the emblem, whatever that may mean. I prefer the blank chimney so I used that on the V2.

I cannot confirm bigger channels, but by eyeballing the two, it looks like it may be slightly deeper than the V1 I have. Wick feels like it sits a little better. I think the real question is can I put thicker juice in without getting dry hits, since that is the only real concern. I may try this, but for now I am just using a 50/50 and it is working excellent. The flavor and vapor production is great.

If your V1 is fine for you and you can manage to fill it as it is, I would say hold off. I imagine the real Orchid V2 should be coming soon, and probably clones as well. This V2 clone does not have the same specifications as Aether Tech listed on their site. It is going to have a two-piece chimney and airflow control.

I am trying out a VG heavy juice in my Orchid V2. So far it seems better than my V1, but I am still getting slightly dry hits. Not too bad though. As long as you don't chain vape, it seems to do ok. Not nearly as good flow as a PG blend. I've been using a 50/50 and I get zero dry hits and excellent flavor. I am not sure what the mix is on my VG based juice, but it is Blueberry Custard from Vapetrik's plume line. I should also note that I am using rayon.
