Finally got the v4 built today, and gotta say wow.I really like my v1's,but with the deeper channels in the newer versions, plus the ease of filling with the fill screw, then throw in great capacity with the bigger tank of this one,and it is a definite winner.I put the m-tank on it,and it looks just like an orchid again haha.I built this with 28 gauge kanthal and rayon,it came out to .7ohms and it throws out some very good flavor with thicker more dense clouds than any other attie i have,i am not a cloud chaser, but this thing is amazing, plus the added capacity to keep it going for a while, this is definitely a winner, and a 2nd one is in my very near future haha.

Does anyone use Single coil setups in the Orchid and if so, How do you do it and is it as good?

I've tried to do it but it becomes the leak machine if u do... Even stuffed the other two channels with cotton... If u want a single coil atty like the orchid, the lemo is perfect

I have tried dual coin only once. Single coil, with extra air-hole plugged. No problems.

What did u plug it with ... I used cotton and it leaked... But doesn't closing one of the air holes defeat the purpose? Makes it like a kayfun

Even if you plug one of the holes and use it a single-coil, the air hole is still way bigger than a KFL. Maybe close to a KF 3.1 though. 0mg is the expert at single-coil on these, but if you get stuck, Fasttech sells just the base with one hole (but still 4 channels).

I'm trying to build one of these. I bought a V3 last weekend. I've never built coils before. I think I have a short and I can't seem to find what I've done wrong. I'm trying to use it on a Stingray X mod and sometimes the coils don't glow and the base of the mod gets really warm. Any suggestions?

Do you have an ohm meter or a regulated device that shows resistance? If you have something like a vamo, mvp, whatever,it will tell you if it's shorting out.Sounds like maybe 1 of the coils is touching the base or one side touching a post,or could be one of the legs going through the post is touching the base.

I plugged mine with cotton on the inside AND outside. Actually, she is permanently plugged. :facepalm:And you still need to wick all four channels.

I didn't know that. What is the sku#?

Just got my Orchid V4 by Tobeco from 101vape yesterday! Super fast shipping! Can't seem to stay away from 101vape definitely great customer service! Cheers to them! :toast: Gave my V2 to my GF. This is my perfect RTA when I am not dripping. Holds enough juice for me to enjoy now! Built using 28ga @0.48ohms on maxim organic cotton. This thing chucks vapors! :D

They make those food grade silicone plugs used in body jewelry that come in all sorts of sizes too (haha not Fasttech).
I tried that, and too large-- at least what I got. However, a bit of cornstarch mixed with a drop of water will plug it nicely, and could be easily removed.

Hey y'all, I just got my Orchid clone today (late anniversary gift) and though I know which B&M it came from, I can't figure out for the life of me who made the clone. It looks similar to the Tobeco v2, but it came in a nice cardboard box with foam and has all these (red!) o-rings in weird places (like around the base of the build deck, and around the bottom fill screw).

It looks like it's pretty solid, but I haven't had the chance to build on/use it yet. How much does the maker of the clone matter? I'm planning on calling the B&M tomorrow to see if they can give me any info, but I'm just kind of  for the moment.
