I use LGs and Sammy R25s. All my 18650s are flat-tops. There's a little adjustment screw inside the battery cover. I don't have it deployed, but I supposed one could if one needs it.

I have been noticing my resistance reads a little higher on the Defender II than it does on other mods. Not a biggie for me - right now I'm sporting a 1.5Ω VOCC (reading about 1.8Ω ??? ) and running about 13W
So on the resistance issue.... reading higher on the Defender II, is it vaping like that higher resistance build as well? e.g. If your build reads 0.9Ω on another mod, and 1.2Ω on the Defender, which would it "feel" like it's vaping more like on the Defender? (although that may be a non-issue since adjusting the watts could compensate?)

I get like a 0.1Ω difference between my iStick TC40 and CoolFire IV. No biggie. But 0.3Ω difference would be more noticeable to me, and therefore more annoying. Damn OCD ;-)

My Hana DNA 30 does the same thing a few point too high...

OCD, I just adjust watts. As long as it functions, I'm all good

Well, there may be a prototype next week of my newly designed atty

I'll have to go through the DHL thing again though to get it

Maybe just pick it up at their office / depot? In San Francisco? Might be quicker....

Yes yes yes. But in the here and now... How do you like your Prometey???
The first coil I put in was 30g, 1.5, 2mm. It reminded me why I don't like 30g wire! It just doesn't suit my vaping style, & got too hot, too fast. Tried again with my usual 28g, 2.5id, 1.5, KGD cotton & it was wonderful! That fluff stuff looks a lot like poly quilt batting, but thicker. I used some of the juice I was gifted with it. Put some in a KF to compare & they are so close in flavor I can't tell the diffference. It does hold a LOT of juice! I like it a lot!

Received notification that my 50W Heatvape Defender II shipped from HG yesterday! Woohoo! Anyhoo...

Battery suggestions please? Flat Top? Or doesn't matter?
I know they need to be 18650 IMR High Drain, minimum 20amp.
Brand matter? e.g. EFest, LG, Sony, Samsung. (have read pros & cons on all)

I generally chain-toot single coil, around 1.2ohms, 10w - 10.5w range; Prefer higher mAh for longer time between needing charge.

This is my first replaceable battery mod. Researching with OCD tendencies turns into a brain about to explode situation even with something that should be damn SIMPLE . GAH! Therefore sincerely appreciate all you more advanced vapers' input & recommendations please and thanks!
I like the LG HG2 batts. They last me about a day & a half. I don't chain vape unless the nic is too low. I use 18mg nic at 1.5 & abround 13 watts. All my batts are flat tops.
