Still reading through the great info in this thread so the perfect answer may still be found.

Recommendations for a new rebuildable tank with:
  • glass or metal tank- I still use tank cracker liquids
  • 2.5-5 ml capacity - I vape about 3/4 mls a day
  • single coil, easy build deck and straight forward assembly- like many here the manual dexterity isn't what it used to be and looking at 20 pieces - aack
  • straightforward wicking
  • leak free - so it can be used out and about.
  • easy fill
  • does not need to be the latest and greatest - oldies can be good.

I was going to try the Achilles but it can no longer be found. The Nectar seems to have a polycarbonate tank, correct?

I find that I am moving towards more simplicity in gear - the hobby aspect has pretty much passed.
I currently use gs air tanks - coils can be rebuilt but for me not worth the effort, rgm2's - old but simple, and lemo drops at around 10 watts.

Any recommendations?
Am off to work and will not be back until this evening.

Thanks!

Hi, @westhc. I've been mostly vaping with a Lemo V1 (@ 10 to 12W), and just got the Bellus from Fasttech. I love it! I think it meets all your criteria -- 5ml glass tank, easy build, easy fill. It's new to me, but I haven't noticed any leaking yet, except when I didn't tighten it when put it back together. It can be built as a single or dual coil, and has a little thingy to close off one side of the airflow for single-coil. Even at 12-15W (I'm inadvertantly sub-ohming, 0.92 on my first build), it's got so much more vapor that my Lemos, although I'm not sure how it would compare to the Lemo drop.

There's at least one long thread here on it, which I encourage you to look into.

Are you able to trap coil leads under screw heads or would you prefer post holes?

With post holes and meet other requirements:
UD Bellus
Goblin Mini
Ubertoot clone (called UTA on FT)
Mini Buddha
FT listed a Haze dripper tank a few days ago with glass. On the airy side though.

With trapping under screw heads:
Taifun GSL or GS2
Hurricane (the one on FT also comes with a metal tank. I got Tobeco, then got a metal tank from FT for it)
Lemo, Lemo Drop or Lemo2. Lemo2 is top fill.
Prometey v2 or v3
Eviva-t
The new SXK Wine RTA. Airflow is not adjustable though.
Flash e Vapor with optional glass kit

I do think the Bellus can be the tank for nearly everyone. Its a genius design:

Anytime access to deck
Top or bottom fill
Truly fully adjustable airflow from tighter than tight to pretty darn open
Post holes
Single or dual
Cheap replacement glass on FT.

If you buy a clone though, make sure you buy one with the single coil adapter. The authentic is very cheap though.

Code XMAS gets you 10% off FT today and 5% off in December.

The authentic Achilles II is available; you'd just have to be willing to part with €115 (about $121) and be willing to wait about a month: Atomizer «ACHILLES»

If anyone is in the market for Kayfuns, Kidney Puncher has Tobeco v4 clones on sale for $4.95. As much as I fight with my Kayfuns, I snagged 2. They also have Nemesis minis for $4.95, so I snagged 2 of those as well. I've really got to STOP looking at these sales. :D

I suppose since I already purchased the spare parts kits for a V4 from Fasttech, and I don't actually own one, I'm almost obligated to get one. Thanks!

Thanks for all the recommendations.
I decided to go ahead and try the authentic Bellus and a clone mini Goblin.
So many to choose from.
If/when I can find the Achilles clone I will try that as well.
There will be Christmas sales.

Your welcome :)
I have not really looked at the Achilles I see everyone talking about it I am going to have a look. I have a full size Goblin and they are very nice tanks. I would assume the mini is probably a little better because of the short chimney.

I'm a bit sad that I never got an Achilles when they were still available from FiF. But since I got new glass for my mini Buddha I'm not really caring. It's just about perfect, like a truly rebuildable Protank, only downside is the screw-access bottom fill.

Where did you get the glass?

Gearbeast. The mini Buddha has its own thread in the Rebuildables - RTA board.

I just remember we were having trouble finding replacement glass for them. My Mini is with another member now, but I have two Epoch d1s I would like to find replacement glass for.
