I read somewhere that innokin prefers building their APVs with LiPos to reduce battery issues and increase safety. Apparently they think it removes the consumer's abilty to choose inappropriate batteries, handling and charging. Looking at their primary demographics, they might be right. These consumers believe, if they have to replace a $30-75 device every coupla years, they're still saving a lot of money over analogs. The real questions of deeming regulations put a kink into this practice however.

Yes - for me, I heard this straight from Busardo's mouth in this recent video, from about 27:19 or so:

I just wish their shipping charges were not so much :( it really drives the cost up to equal or higher compared to any place else you could buy it.
I agree, their shipping charges have kept me from ordering on a number of occasions. This time, however, the overall savings on what I ordered overshadowed the shipping charges. I probably won't receive the order until late March, however, due to the holiday. The order confirmation email said many shippers have already stopped shipping for the holiday. Not a problem, nothing I need soon. Those items I order from stateside companies.

I just blasted an order to HG this morning. I have been spoiled by the other overseas vendors NOT charging for shipping. But, when enough stuff was ordered, it only adds a few bucks to each item, so most things roughly 60-70% off their displayed price - still pretty inexpensive. I'm in the "Holiday Black Hole" so stuff won't even start processing for a couple of weeks.

I'm curious to see how this order turns out.

Yep, the looming deeming (and, actually, the State bills we managed to stop for the last two years....) moved me to ONLY replaceable battery mods. And enough of them to last a long, long time!

And I do really like the performance and durability of my two SVD2s. (Hey, they came in silver and black, gotta have both!

IF they (Innokin) came out with even a mid-power replaceable battery box mod I'd seriously consider it....

I have two VS rDNA40s one an early pre-order and one purchased on the black friday after the release. One is the small screen and one the larger screen, both are pre atty lock.

They have not missed a beat in well over a year of being my only mods and used daily.
I've never used a skin, regardless I have no paint issues or any other issues for that matter.

It is strange how different a product experience can be.
I have 2 MVP 2's that I started vaping with. They still hold a full charge & work fine. I don't use below 13 watts any more, so all they get used for is dry burning & ohms meters. I also have 4 Hana Modz. 2 DNA 30's (moment of silence for the one I killed by putting the battery in backwards), & 2 DNA 40's.. All single batts. I've had no problems with them at all, but then I don't monitor voltage drop & all that. If I look at the screen & it's all good, I just vape. Same builds all the time. Same Kayfuns, & occasional Nautilus or K1, & Magmas for tasting juices. I don't need much variety device wise. I have a couple of iSticks for the small form factor when I'm running errands & such. So the Evolv & whatever are in the iSticks are the only chips I have any experience with. I doubt if I would notice the difference between those & any other chips. I don't mind building coils, rewicking, charging batteries, cleaning 510's. But smoking was much easier. If vaping becomes a chore, or pita to do, it would be too easy to go back to smoking. As much as I would hate it. I have all the toppers I think I could possibly ever need. I want more vw mods, but will only get US made & repairable, other than the little iSticks. I'm not even sure about what other chips are out there. I just want to vape simply, safely, & steady.

Sounds like a Provari would check your boxes. :)

I might save up for a Radius. I like box mods & want to get a few more before June.

Sent from my LG-V700 using Tapatalk

You think June might be when .... the stuff hits the fan?

This worries me greatly. I'm only a month and a half in, and I'm still "figgering" things out. I have one Kayfun clone & 2L nicotine. And however many days/months before everything is announced to invest in Nauti BVC coils...

Sometimes I wonder how everyone can be so quiet about it...but I guess all the conversations have been had? And what about the poor US vendors? How are they preparing?

I mean...imagining what a huge impact vapocalypse would have makes me very nervous & apprehensive!

I think they're preparing by not sleeping well. All the local B&M owners in my region (NYC to Philly) have been pushing advocacy for 5 or 6 months now. All the vendors, both online and B&M, are facing the possibility of losing their livelihood; all for total silliness.

I bet they are...and YES you said it - it's so needless & absurd!

Is that the mod you were putting a new board in? Sending pm.

Yah thats the one. It had a clone dna40, now it has a authentic. It turned out just ok, I can solder really well but wire management I am still working on. But its working great and thats what counts I guess.

As far as American made mods goes we only have Vapor Shark, Hana Modz and Vapor Flask. Vapor Flask has one model with the Yihi SXmini board in it. Yihi makes excellent boards, I have two of them. One is a SX350 60w that I built about two years ago that is just bullet proof. And I have a SXMini mod that I will never part with. The choices are not that large really for made in the USA.

I almost forgot to add the Hexohm by Craving Vapor. They build a very nice 100w device that takes two 18650's in series. It has no screen and you adjust the power by a potentiometor. It is really simple to figure out and nice sometimes cause its so easy to deal with. The battery life is just stellar and the build quality is top notch. They come with a LIFETIME full warranty on all the parts, if it dies on you which is doubtful just send it in and they repair it for free :)
