no I am really confused because I thought you could only use TC with the specific wires, such a titanium and nickel. Not Kanthal. So if I figure out how to set it in TC and then set the watts where I want them that will solve the problem?
when you set it this way with kanthal TC will not function as it should. But it will give you step down which is what you are after.

Go into the menu and set it to Joules and titanium wire and exit to the main screen. Set your power level where you want. Just remember that it will say for example 10J instead of 10W.

It is really simple to do, make those two changes in the menu and your good to go.

Yah I have not tried that yet. Does the capacity increase with the stock head?
Hmmm... never really measured the capacity, but I would guess at yes, slightly... I am now happily using it in normal rta mode. I just thought the CLR feature was cool...

Talking about mods... My used but in perfect condition Provari 2.5 GunMetal Zenkote (with "flat top" beauty ring and 18650 extension, plus a button top battery) arrived yesterday.... So have been vaping it for close to 24-hours now... And honestly, I'm not sure WHAT I think of it!

Maybe a tube mod just isn't my cup of tea? Or maybe needs more getting used to?
My current favorite mod is my black Ola X Hero 30w... So that's what I'm comparing Provari 2.5 to....

FUNCTION: Provari vapes just fine. As fine as the vape from my Ola X Hero 30. They both give a perfectly smooth & consistent vape.
LOOK & FEEL: I think in terms of design and "classy look", the Ola X actually wins out there. And in terms of "feel"? I'm not sure yet, split 50/50 on whether or not it's more comfortable, as comfortable, or less comfortable in my hand compared to my Ola X. Provari does however feel substantially lighter than the Ola X. And Provari's Button has a nice travel and feel to it.

The Provari DOES make a most excellent "stress ball" :D (my tendency to use mods as a stress ball being constantly squeezed all day long is why I'd gotten an Ola X instead of a similarly shaped Presa 75 with full-length actuator switch)

Basically, I think I'm kinda underwhelmed by the Provari :( overall, although here's certainly nothing wrong with it.
Any of you who've recently acquired your own first Provari feel similar about yours?

Oh yeah, and something totally crazy ? I'm still eyeing those 2 auctions on eBay for Provari TITANIUM P3s !!:?:
Provari P3 Titanium Ultralight Edition
Provari 3 P3 TITANIUM W/ 5 BATTERIES! SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT! FREE PRIORITY SHIP
...because they'd match my Titanium :wub:Prometeys ?
Or because my OCD has gotten so bad I need an intervention?
What are "the odds"
I'd love a P3 while I'm so "meh" about the 2.5 ? Anyone?
Is the P3 that much better than a 2.5, and if so,
then how or why so in your opinions?

Differences between the 2.5 and 3 are very few. The P3 allows you to adjust in Watts, has a pre-heat feature and a native P3 top cap. I can't imagine anyone not liking the 2.5 and loving the 3.

Thanks @aldenf, appreciate your sensible logic :)
Hey @ScandaLeX, you have both 2.5 & P3 yes? What you think about my current conundrum?

Edit to Add: I'm also starting to wonder if maybe I have some sort of Titanium fetish

Cannot find my reading glasses and did not get too far into things but I did manage to change my Cloupor to Temp setting rather than watts and set it to 380 and have been vaping great all day that way. Still need to figure out how to set the wire type I guess and lock the resistance? Oy Vey...seems daunting......

Somewhere out there
My first cell phone looked like this...
View attachment 542610

Mine too! I think it was $1/min. to use so it was just kept in the car for emergency use.

I got the phone for free when I bought a new car. I can't remember the year, maybe 1991 or 92?

I actually loved my old analog, first one was mounted in my vehicle though. It was really expensive, can't remember how much.

Thing about analog phones, they worked where digital phones won't. I was delivering to the third street post office in Memphis back in the day, was on the lower level (under ground) in the back of the building with three feet of concrete and steel above me and my phone still worked.

I must be lucky. My orchid never leaks. It's the first tank I trust enough to carry in my purse for that reason.
Mine didn't leak either when both coils were in it, trying to plug up one side with cotton is where you run into issues.

I bought a 2.5 mini off the classies a year or so ago and wondered what all the hoopla was about. Not crazy about it. That being said I did order another blemished one during the grand sale a week or two ago because..well, just because one cannot have too much gear right? And maybe I will decide I love it and would have been mad that I did not get another.......

Would cost $71 to turn my Orchids into Kayfuns. someday. Until then, they stand upright most of the time-- they only dribble, but overnight would be a different story. No way would I go through the frustration of dual-coiling them for tootle-puffing.
