I do use a couple dual coil tanks. Aqua and my Orchid are the only two I use anymore. The rest are all single coil. Even my drippers I build single coil these days.
I think dual coil is a bit redundant really. I would let anyone take the Pepsi challenge with a single coil dripper I build and dare them to judge single or dual. If they could figure which they are more talented than I.

Originally we built dual coils or twisted wire because our variety of wire was small and in order to achieve a lower resistance it was necessary. Looking back at it all now I am sure other gauges were available we or I was not aware of it.

I never liked dual and I originally built with 32g, either paralleled or twisted it. Both before I knew it was a thing, it just made sense to me.

It certainly was easier to just build dual to get into the power range I was looking for on a mech, just didn't like the increase in dripping necessity for what I perceived as barely any increase in flavor/vapor. If I want more vapor/flavor I just increase the VG and flavoring ratio :)

I like twisted wire, it gives off a bit more flavor to me.

@Kenna

So there is a new Hexohm that is getting ready to be dropped! It looks like they have designed their own board. It will be similar to what were used too with the old ones as there is a potentiometer by the looks of it.

Fast forward to 48:00 and enjoy :)

They've mentioned that something is in the works several times on the FB page. They posted a drawing of the board about a month ago. They do Limited Edition mods & make them available only to members of HexOhn Nation, or release them to members before anyone else, too. Different finishes, etc.

I would bet its something to match the high power mods that are out.

I did something as a test yesterday, Stuck Dual SS430 28AWG coils in a Orchis V5 and absolutely stuffed it with cotton wick. 0.26 ohms.

Thought it would not wick well at all, but surprisingly it is great.

Crudest, fastest wicking I ever done!

TCR mode on a Evic Mini VT, 500F, 75W.

I have been spending a lot of time on the "other forum" since the Roxy incident. It seems that there is a lot more single coil users here than there is over there as well as more people that vape at lower wattage. Just an observation!!!

I've been a member "over there" for some time but I rarely post there. It seems to be the that the dominant vaping style is a lot like the attitudes, over the top. We have our cloud blowers, but we also have a lot more people who are more interested in staying off the stinkies rather than how low an ohm or high a watt or whether or not you can say naughty words on the internet. It's all good I guess but I find a lot more useful info and intelligent conversation over here.

I feel bad about the whole Roxy thing and really wish it could have gone differently but at the end of the day it is what it is. I will miss Roxy's presence, knowledge and contributions, but I will miss it from here.

Roxy's ECF account was recently reinstated as a "Supplier Associate". Not sure exactly what that means. Not sure that she cares much anymore. Sad.
