My experience was that the GS air coils were perfectly interchangeable in my eGrip V1 but they vaped much better than the CS (or were they CL) coils that came with the Mod. The Aspire NON-nautilus BVC coils were by far the best vape in the eGrip until I got the RBA base.
I gave my eGrip & a few coils away but kept the RBA base. Couldn't deal with all the leaking. The GS Air I still use- love the smooth vape I get out of it when I don't feel like massive clouds.

I kept hearing about all the leak issues everyone had with the eGrip V1. I had 2 of them and only leak I ever had was with RBA the first time I used it. The wick Joyetech put in the preloaded coil was TOO FREAKIN SHORT! Once rewicked I never had another issue. I busted one of my eGrips and recently piffed the other w/both RBA bases.

Ummm....m'kkkkk. I guess I missed the what "ProVari disrespect" was supposed to mean. I'm a very literal person so sometimes missed what might have been a jokey joke in the posters mind.

Sokay. That squonking rig struck me as laughably atrocious, and I thought adding the "no Polish jokes" line would make my jest unmistakable. But, yeah, visual jokes like other jokes don't always work. :)

Sometimes hard to convey humor via the printed word, WP. We all need to (and try to!) remember that. And sprinkle a mess of smileys and other images that sometimes help :)

Blasphemy!
We will hold council with the prophet and discuss your status as a Rayonati...
I currently have a wick in my Prometey:wub: that's 2/3 Rayon and 1/3 JOC.
(the piece of Rayon I'd cut had slid thru coil way too easily. Oops. Then I noticed a strip of JOC in another little ziploc right next to me which looked the perfect size to add to that rayon and thought: Why Not?)

That "combo wick" has been vaping great for several days now.

I currently have a wick in my Achilles:wub: that's 2/3 Rayon and 1/3 Rayon. ;)

But I draped a few strands of rayon on top of the coil, she's chuckin'
The idea is that this may well reduce gunking on the top on the coil. :w00t:

Chevy - Ford argument. Some say it wicks better others say it taste funny etc. etc.
I dunno... I tried wicking my Chevy with rayon and... oh, wait..

The other factor is cost. 200 pcs JOG around $8, or a lifetime supply of Rayon for $12.

And, cleanliness. Rayon tends to gunk less...

Those of you that use both please give input:
What are the advantages to rayon VS JOG?

I have personally experienced all of the benefits except for the extreme longevity, I have flavor ADD and change the juice in tanks too often to benefit from a 300ml wick. Rayon does have a bit of a learning curve to use properly and is well worth the time involved IHMO.

JeremyR sums up the advantages in the first post of the new thread linked in my sig.

- wicks better
- lasts 10 times longer
- delivers increased coil saturation
- has a pure neutral taste
- its good till the last drop

- its sturdy, holds its shape, and stays put.
- much more forgiving on density.
- it releases juice freely to the coil
- capable of higher power than other wicks
- typically needs a bump in your normal power level to compensate for the saturation. A 3-5w bump.

- instant action
- very 'moldable' to fit specific needs.
- increases nicotine hit
- its extremely efficient (thin the tails)
- the vapor produced is a more vaporized mist that provides higher absorption of nicotine and flavoring components. (Its estimated that a 20-30% increase occurs)

- its high efficiency provides Ultra Clean vaporization for minimal if any gunking after 100s of mls (juice dependant)
- highly resistant to burning when it has juice within reach
- Rayon can speak to you, by showing any problems with discoloration.

- rayon wick can last a long, long time
- your coils can remain clean 4 - 10 times longer than other wicks. Eliminating the need for dry burning.

- you can run the entire wick completely dry with rayon - before you even get a dry hit (when wicked correctly)
- low maintenance
- more freedom to just : vape on
- makes vaping more enjoyable by an elimination of many common problems
- With regular mods we have gone 100, 200, and nearly 300ml of juice on rayon with no maintenance!
