...and I remember when we all said we'd quit smoking when/if cigarettes hit $1.00 a pack... LMAO!!!

I never said that, but that was when I switched to regulars (non-filtered) to get back down to a pack a day. And when they hit $2 a pack is when I started rolling my own--which is why I was paying about $1.5 a pack when I quit...

pwyll, there will be no problem - remember the squirrel is in charge, lol

i think the online number generator became popular because it could be taped and posted so all could see it was fairly done.
that won't be needed here, chelle is in charge and there is nobody more honest as far as i'm concerned.

That was pretty much my point--someone said "the only way" was online software. That may be true most places, but I'd trust just about anyone in the PIF with whatever "offline" method they chose, and definitely anyone with "PIF Moderator" in their title...

I missed that post.

Who said that using an online program was the only way to do it?

Tsk tsk. You have just as much ability as I to backtrack through the posts, and since I quoted you in the post about analogue methods, it seems rather disingenuous to ask this question--which is exactly what I would have done...

Cactusgirl suggested the "numbers in a hat" method after which various people discussed how an RNG could be used to replicate it, and you added that it could be done with a specific software. Since it was "only" online/computer methods being actively discussed, my addled brain added the "only" to my post and made my wording inaccurate.

I didn't think it was a bad enough misrepresentation to go back and correct (obviously), but you're right to call me on it. People have a tendency to only remember the most recent 'thing' and would be more likely to remember you saying "online was the only way" even though you obviously didn't.

If I offended you, I apologize for my slothful posting. If I didn't offend you, I thank you for the kick in my lazy ... to get me to correct an erroneous statement.

:)
