Somewhere in PA on my Ultra Limited
On another note, (WOW!) got a can of the Cape Cod cleaning clothes from eBay and they work great! Easy-peasy, wax-on/wax-off (hopefully folks get the Karate Kid reference ;) ). My wife actually asked why my vaping gear is so clean and shiny while my garage is such a mess. I responded, "priorities my dear...".

I contacted them through their website, not a forum. Is there a better way?

I do really like it. I've built stuff with machine tools too, and mistakes do happen. Of all the things to go wrong, this is probably the best. It doesn't actually affect my vaping (even though we had to try like 4 fatties to get one that would fit), and it still looks great. I'm convinced it's the best out there and the only one I want with that style of button, even with the flaw.

I probably still will get a second eventually, it just got bumped a little lower and won't be the first mod I get 2 of. It's still the first thing I grab when I get home.

MostApha, I feel for you! I hope this gets solved soon.
When I first received my Uma Poldiac, nothing would twist into it, not a single atty... they all rested on top. Tony had me take the topcap off, and then screw an old SS cartomizer into the backside. (OMG that sounds awful lol). Something fell out. Yay! A burr. I was then able to twist an atty into the connection, but only half way. :( Whoa, this sux. So then Tony & Cloud instructed me to do the carto thing all over again, on both sides, both front and back. Still nada/ So, next, they instructed me to pull while twisting it in, and push while twisting it out, ... repeat as necessary. After about 5 or 6 tries, VOILA!! It's been perfect ever since. All my attys fit right in. I don't have the same ones you do, that's true, but I did have the same(?) problem with the ones I have. There was a big burr and when that cleared out, there was still a tiny microscopic burr or too tight of threading or whatever. I hope yours gets resolved soon.

Having a similar problem with my UMA. Cobra fits like a glove but neither the AGA-T2 nor the Smoktech RSST get past a couple of turns. Not a big deal for me right now since I'm using my Cobra almost exclusively on the UMA, but I'll probably need to switch atty's for a little while one of these days. I sent the question through MM's "Contact Us" and got a reply saying "It's a 510 connection; should work fine; try sanding down the threads, or contact the atty manufacturer." Tried sanding a bit; no go, and I'm not about to contact the atty manu's over this. Also tried UMA's suggestion; still no go.

Seems this is a recurring issue and I think it's safe to call it a "defect" now. I wouldn't mind ordering another top cap if I was sure it wouldn't have the same issue.

Anyhoo...just rambling here 'till someone comes up with an ingenious solution.

I had a problem with a GV Trident screwing onto onto my Poldiac (just to see) & it would not turn past 1/2 turn, yet it fit all my other mods.
Found that the 510 thread size is M7 x .5
Went to Lowes & got a tap just to clear the threads a tad. That did it. Everything I have will now screw onto my Poldiac like butter.
Cheap $8 tweek.

The defect is that the 510 connection is not accepting many 510 atty's. Where's the question?

Let's not get defensive about this thing, guys. The Poldiac is a FANTASTIC product, but the definition of a "defect" is "The lack of something necessary or desirable for completion or perfection." A "perfect" 510 connection would accept all 510 atty's, right? I don't know if its a design defect or a manufacturing defect, but this thread makes pretty darned clear that there is a defect. Does that mean that the Poldi isn't one of the best PVD's ever made? No.

The Poldiac like any other 510 battery mod should accept any default 510 atty.

I think what Tony is trying to say is that some of the cheaper China made atties do not always have a proper 510 connection.

MMV is already working on this and doing quality control testing of all caps and their 510 connection that are in production now.

Just think 4 out of 3000 is not a defect. Could be the tap used on yours was at the end of it useful life. Bashing the product in a open forum like you do is my issue. But youre a smart guy you know there are better ways to handle issues.

There are a few more than the 4 here Tony. The big AC9 has problems with a lot of the mods out there. There is a huge variance in threads between gennys.

Why are you upset at my post? That's exactly what happened, and I thought it would be helpful if not to this bummed out person, then maybe for someone else. Shoot, I've even passed this info on in other threads with other mods when those mod owners had the same exact problem. I don't understand the "fanboi" thing going on here. I'm a FAN, a huge FAN, and I love love love Jim and MMvapors and ALL of his products so far, which is why I want solutions and try to find solutions, so that others too will be just as happy with their product and with the company as I am. I don't get it.

The Roller had the same problem with certain gennys. So, they brainstormed and came out with 2 different connections.. flushed and not so flushed. Some are short, some are deep. And believe it or not, there are STILL a few gennys out there that won't fit either one! Sooooo, back to the drawing board or not. It's not their fault the gennys are all so different, yet they took on the challenge the best they could. I admire that. Until there is a Genesis Thread Union, I'm afraid it is what it is.

I didn't see your post.
It's perfect, yes, for all regular 510 connections, including the DID series.
But, it's not perfect for many others... it can't be, it's impossible to be. Why? Because the other gennys out there are NOT REGULAR. (American, Greek, or China don't matter) They each have a different size male...
hmmm, I'm quitting there before this gets nasty lol

I took it that he was, because of the ......... post which means #$%^&*@#$ and %**@!!!!
but sometimes it means,... oops, quoted the wrong post..
or something entirely different.
Ok, I'll wait and see

I'm not mad at anyone. I'm a problem solver not a finger pointer. I've never respected the squeaky wheel gets the grease approach. That's all.
