Hi Gang:
I haven't been able to participate much in the forum due recovering from major back surgery. I had three fusions, three laminectomies, three discectomies, hipbone grafts, and rods, screws, and cages (hardware) inserted, followed by physical therapy to learn how to balance myself in order to walk again. And playing in this forum is something I really enjoyed before my surgery, and I've really missed chatting with all of you. But I'm back!!!
I was a witness in a murder trial last month and had to go to court to testify. At the entrance to the courthouse, the police officers scan both you and your handbags and briefcases. Well, I forgot to take out all of my e-cigs, e-liquid, cartridges, and worst of all, the syringe filled with e-liquid. Looked like ......!!
They took me out of the line and questioned me. "Miss, what is this syringe?" And I said, "Let me explain by way of demonstration." Well, it drew a crowd of lookey-lous. I was halfway enjoying all of the attention during my demo, but at the same time, it's illegal in California and other states to possess drug paraphernalia, which includes a needle & syringe unless you are a diabetic.
I was so nervous that I would be arrested until I told them I'm a court reporter and an officer of the court and presented them with my business card. Then they said, "Oh, okay. Go on in. You're fine." Whew!!!
But it's hilarious watching people's faces when I smoke in public: I've smoked in one restaurant but chickened out and blew the vapor into my T-shirt!! I've smoked in Macy's, major department store, which also drew a crowd of employees. I smoked it as customers would be walking by, and I got some pretty funny stares. Some stares were evil and others were dumbfounded, and then some were smiling with a mixed look of confusion and curiosity. I've also smoked in the vet's office. And I smoked in the judge's chambers!!
Everyone is amazed once educated, so I can't wait until the electronic cigarette proliferates into becoming a household item.
My twin sister is a former smoker and has been for 30 years, but I purchased a Sedansa with zero nicotine for her so she could "smoke" with me. She absolutely loves it and puffs full-time now.
