Thanks Caesar, money is burning a hole in my pocket like I am a 12yr old again. I use my Precious -L all the time now and want to move up to the -U w/ a juice feeder. I really liked the one in the video where the juice feeder matched the diameter of the battery holder. You mention it is a limited run on your site, and just want to make sure I get one. My worry is I loose my patience and go for something else... but alas, it is not avail yet either :)

Also, BTW over at the "other" forum you mention the adapter will be included with the -U to allow one to use it with an eGo. That is awesome, especially since I have a Tornado!

I tried to post over there, but my account is apparently locked and I can't post. Long story (thought they dont "ban", I had asked my account to be closed and was told no... I guess that is how they work around it there :unsure:)

Just wanted to share with you what exactly these two beasts will bring.
If you absolutely need a feature not mentioned, please act quick!

Besides the usual features of the L:

* best ventilation system, directly over the battery vent holes
* touch sensor
* smallest size available
* lowest possible internal resistance
* over-current protection and under-voltage protection

the currently implemented and tested features are:

* undervoltage protection with visual indication, unit shuts down afterwards, not allowing to deplete batteries to a dangerous level
* overcurrent protection, resets itself when shorted atomizer is exchanged, the user just needs to exchange the shorted atty
* general on/off switching
* constant voltage from the first to the last vape
* very easy voltage selection on the Precious itself, with visual confirmation
* variable from 0,0V up to 8,4V in 0,1V steps, without the need of multi-meters, voltmeters or any other equipment
* 3 colored LED for status indication, can be turned on or off for stealth usage from the unit itself
* menu to select voltage and LED mode operated from the touch switch
* just one touch switch for user input, retaining the beautiful simplicity of its predecessors
* settings are stored in the unit and retained between battery changes
* possibility to use it with or without the automatic juice dispenser
* atomizer activation limited to 15 seconds, allows long drags without hitting the safety limit. 15 seconds is a very safe timing, not limiting the user while still not destroying the atomizer if it is reached by fault
* the first 8 seconds are indicated by a green color , from 8 to 12 seconds with a orange color and from 12 to 15 seconds by a red LED color
* if the atty activation limit is reached, the Precious switches to OFF state, protecting the user, batteries and atomizer
* if left powered on and unattended, the Precious will shut itself OFF after 30mins of inactivity, for safety reasons
* it detects and applies the correct settings when powered by 1x18650, 2x18350 or 2xCR123A while the U will also support 2x18500 in selected units

These are all the features that I want and need in a PV. I tried to create the simplest and most user friendly device, incorporating all the possible safety features while keeping it small in size and still allow for versatility.

If any of you have some ideas, need a feature not implemented or would like to contribute some insights from their own experience please do now, as the final moment is nearing fast.

Those are all the options one could possibly want from a device. You sure have put a lot of options into such a tiny package. I sure am looking forward to getting one. I can really see the need for the built in protection especially with the LR atty becoming so popular. I know from experience you can vape on those with a battery that is very low. And we all know that batteries are not all made to such high quality standards and you can't always trust those PCBs on-board protected batteries. To have the ability to dial in your voltage on the fly is great because atomizers can change on you through the day building resistance as they get old and worn. NICE work!

Yes, misterD, both of them will have these features.
The juicer can be purchased as an option with the new L while also being available for the old L's.

The differences between the new L and U:
- only a few U's made
- U's only available to Precious owners
- some U's will be able to use 2x18500 batts
- U's are made of aluminum

The U's won't stop here, I am looking into limited editions of chrome and titanium bodies with silver being also an option.

Please no logos. If you want something engraved take it to an engraver. I admit it would look nice with silver & brass, or even a shiny nickel/brass. But I really prefer no engraving. When I bought my new ego kit last week I specifically looked for something without engraving or Co. logos and found what I was looking for in stainless. Looks awesome sitting on my desk next to my Precious L. I got the stainless eGo batts so I could match the adapter for the Precious Juice Feeder when it comes out.

You got me wrong vapnaway! Not silver plated, but made out of silver!
I'd do it in platinum to have the best electrical conductivity but silver is pretty close too and a little cheaper ;)

I thought about engraving, as a side option, to engrave it to customer specs but it would take too much time and exactly time is what I don't have. There are plenty of shops that are specialized and can engrave it right before your eyes, doing a much better job.

JollyRogers, I see you are all set, I'll do my best not to keep you waiting long.
