I would imagine something serious had to happen. No way would someone abandon THOUSANDS of dollars in sales if it wasn't something serious. Even though I know I'm not entitled to anything as all I did was place a pre-order with no money, I no longer have confidence in the maker of the device. Can't purchase one with any faith whatsoever. The mod itself in theory seems like the ultimate vaping device, but if one little thing went wrong with it and it needed fixing, there's not much confidence that it would ever get fixed.
im not ready to throw caeser under the bus just yet.... ill wait to see what happens in the next few weeks.
I was one of the first ones to pre-order, but I don't care.
I'm not buying one. You can have my spot.
go look at the website. Hmmm. No communication, and NOW there's no website!
you still waiting? lol
*edit* oh yeah- that's a good point by harpo.....
If communication is NON EXISTANT now, and IF this thing ever comes out, what do you think is gonna happen to your precious lil precious when it fails on you? I've seen posts from other ppl saying they still have repairs yet to be addressed from the FIRST device! NOT good.
Sorry guys, but this just PISSES me off. We were supposed to be vaping on this new device MONTHS ago, and now I feel like we're being jerked around. (which we are..) Even IF something bad happened, it would take TWO SECONDS for him to tell SOMEBODY SOMETHING.
I would.
That was kind of my point with alice's restaurant....
Amazing Ceaesar that you put the message up that you'll be fixing your site due to the "extensive damage" but you couldn't give all of those people waiting for two months the courtesy of an update. I hope you realize you're credibility as a businesman is now completely in question and regardless of the issue you are curently experiencing or the quality of your workmanship, you have seriously damaged your reputation and each day that passes makes it worse...
Taking down your hosted website and then putting up a note that says "Under maintenance Sorry for the downtime, it will be back ASAP. Damage was pretty extensive, but I should be able to solve during the weekend." adds insult to injury.
How dumb to you think we are?
The only thing new up there in the last month was speculation on weather or not you were alive or dead- call your website service provider and tell them to restore the backup from yesterday or last week.
Sooperdave- I think your optimisim may blinded by want - you may also want to consider lowering the PGA ratio in your juice. We all would like to see this device's features, and if he were to start shipping on Monday it would still set the bar with product features, but even the most optimistic mind would have to admit that something isn't right here...
Someone offered me a deal on a used M yesterday - couple of weeks ago I would have paid you for a new one- till you show up with some answers, and address the issues with broken ones, buying any of your products is like buying a stock in the pink sheets (a stock that is delisted because it fails to meet regulatory requirements or who's value drops below $1/share) ....
not optimistic, just not really worried about it. id like to have one, if i cant get one.... oh well, no hair off my back. why should i lower the pga in my liquids? (not following you, unless you were implying that im an idiot, and if so, well...sit an spin)
(meant in jest)
Didn't mean it to imply you were an idiot - in fact you seem to agree that the facts don't add up to anything good- which is why your previous response seemed too optimistic ...
Think about this- his site has been up and on line for a month- we're all watching it and checking it regularly.... nobody comes here or to any other forum saying it's down - instead it suddenly has a message that says it's been damaged and he'll be spending time over the weekend to work on it... that doesn't disturb you?
Maybe he's running his site on a laptop under a desk and he kicked the plug out damaging the database and now all of our pre-order numbers are lost too .... c'mon...
Oof! Harsh, but possibly warranted! To say that Caesar has been incommunicado on every medium he has used up until a while back is true. In a business, that's pretty much unforgiveable. That said, none of us know the full story. He may have been run over, in jail, hospitalised or just totally oblivious to the furore. Alternatively, it may have been an elaborate scam, or he may have got cold feet, not thinking that the Precious L v2 would attract so much desire and attention. Or maybe he's just completely incapable of fulfilling the pre-orders he already has for whatever reason.
I suspect we won't know for a while. I'd love to think that there's a reasonable and acceptable explanation to it all, and that the Precious V2 will emerge from it as a marvellous piece of kit - but I ain't about to bet next month's juice budget on it.
Yes its harsh, but think about it...
Now his site still says " I should be able to solve during the weekend"... which weekend was he referring to? Yet here it is Monday and some of you still want to give him the benefit of the doubt. I don't think it was an elaborate scam at all - where's the upside? And if he was physically incapacitated, he wouldn't have replaced his website with that message.
How about the guys who sent devices back for repair or upgrade and haven't heard back? I don't blame them for being quiet but don't you think he should have sent them a note saying he has their device and its safe but its going to be a while longer? Maybe taking a few minutes once a week to give them some update?
Of course he's incapable of fulfilling all the pre-orders- he is incapable of fulfilling any of them. This has all the hallmarks of an adolescent technologist who bit off more than he could chew and is too arrogant to admit it to himself let alone anyone else.
