I'm here, when I'm here
There's a buddy of mine out in San Diego that I introduced to vaping a few months after I started vaping myself. I've been chiding him a ton about ditching his egos and getting a ProVari...which he finally did (he just was too cheap to spend the $$$ is the only reason I kept hounding him about it...that's what homies are for ;) ).

I'm telling this story, because he just received it today, and I just got the "now I get it" call! Lmao!

He's on ECF, but has posted little if anything at all. I think it would be fantastic if every single one of us sent James619 a friendly ProVarinati welcome PM, just to let him know he's not alone ;)

Edit: he can't get PM's, cause the dolt hasn't posted anything yet! Lol

Good thing I hit the wrong button. Almost hit "send" but have rented fingers and "dufus" hit me too. Hit "back" instead.

I wish someone would make a video of their first experience with a ProVari.

You would need a haz-mat suit and rubber gloves to handle it ATM. :)

I don't have a clue the differences between the v1& v2 Hippo but it's worth a try if it works. I have 2 V2's & on both the center pin can be pushed out/taken apart & cleaned.

Can you post pics of what you rec'd?

A question for the Kayfun clone fans. Is the EHPro or the Tobeco preferred?

ETA: Oh doink! I didn't see this post:

I received my Tobeco Kayfun Lite Plus this morning. I'm really digging this thing so far. Easier to rebuild coils, run cotton. Getting better vapor and flavor than the tanks. Have to pick up another 1 or 2 or kayfun black edition. The Expromizer is another one I like to try. How did you shorten the kayfun ?. Left one of the barrels off ?.

But still, is that consistent with other people's experience? I've be reading about it and watching videos, but since I've never used a Kayfun of any kind I can't quite comprehend the subtle differences being described.

The EHPro is generally perceived to be off better quality than the Tobeco. After the first run of EHPro Kayfuns they changed a bit and no longer had the beveled edges that differentiated them from the rest of the clones. The quality also suffered a bit.

Despite all that, the EHPro is still better quality than the Tobeco. The machining and fit will be a bit better, but the performance should be exactly the same. When looking at the Kayfun clones, the most important thing is finding one that is 100% stainless steel.

When I got mine folks were saying the reverse.
No biggie though. Got mine from FT so if it stops working today no huge loss.

My understanding is that the EHPro is the better of the 2. I have one and have no issues with it.

I just got a Kayfun lite + and I'm loving it. Can't say anything about the clones, I got the original. A full tank lasted me two days and I vape constantly!! I still like my mini kangers but probably won't use them much, lol!

I just can't bring myself to intentionally buy a clone. I've looked at an HCigar Nemesis clone a couple of times now, and I just can't make myself do it. I'd rather have the original.

I'm a bit enchanted by the solid black one Tobeco has coming out. Black PVD over stainless. It only come with one tank, but the clear tanks of the others are pointless for me to use anyway {{On my desk a bottle of my juice is whispering Feed Me...}} The solid black would look so cool on the Stealth.

What's the advantages of buying a clone?

Money. And in this case, the clones work well. Mine doesn't have the SvoeMesto logo, so it's not a direct clone anyways, so I don't really care.

What I do care about is something like the Caravela clone from FastTech. There they just ripped of the ship, logo, and even added the numbering to it.

Price I supposed, but that's almost all I see around. Vapor Joe has started calling clones something like "collectible replicas" since sometimes they perform better than the originals.

ETA: This one they rave about on Mod Envy as being better than the original. http://.........blogspot.com/2014/03/restocked-kayfun-lite-plus-black_22.html

Susie - Which do you like more, the EHPro or the Sophia? I was thinking of getting a KF/clone just to try it, though I'm very happy with the Sophias.

I like them both.

With the Kayfun, I don't have to deal with NR wire or ceramic cups, and the deck is easy to build on. But the tank is not glass. I currently have the M tank on it, which takes a lot of the weight off of it. It is a bit cheaper and I can get one locally and not have to wait 2 weeks for delivery.

With the Sophia, I can use virtually any tank I want to. And to rebuild, we have premade coils. I don't have leaking issues when it is humid (like today).

For flavor, it's better on the Kayfun. Vapor production is better on the Sophia. Refilling tanks is about the same on both.

I am wanting a new something, but I cannot decide either between the 2.

When I got the Sophias, the Kayfun was collecting dust. I brought it back out to compare it. I use them both equally.
