Aw! My cat acts super young. She runs around for no reason, still plays and all that... But I've always fed her with good food. Blue Buffalo. It was the best that there was at the time and honestly she's had no issues so I've kept her on it. Good thing about it is even though it's expensive, it doesn't have those horrible fillers like the cheap stuff does so she eats less. I even have her on the gluten free one. LoL. I think it's important to feed your pets good food. It also minimizes vet visits and all that.
I think my cat food bill is higher than mine some months! But the cat my wife brought into the marriage, is a great cat, but has issues with certain foods. My cat never had problems, but she rarely would touch dry food, and loved her wet food "treat". We ended up going to an all wet food, grain free, gluten free diet, which does cost a lot more, however the vet bills being non-existant completely offsets it. I "blame" the fact that my 14 yr old cat basically went her whole life on strictly wet food, is why she still acts young, and has a great coat

Stage 5 clinger!!! Gosh I love those! It's such a good time, shutting them down over, and over, and over...
Speaking of hating men, anyone seen Maleficent yet? SO GOOD.
I have not but honestly was tempted only because of Angelina Jolie... I love her. I don't care what anyone says... I love her. She's probably my favorite actress. I've liked, I think, everything I've seen her in.

Yes ma'am! You know it. Man this makes me wanna brag on my church for a minute. My best friend is what you call "church hurt." Lots of bad experiences. I finally dragged her with me kicking and screaming. After she liked it, she e-mailed my pastor. Her mother is gay and has been with the same woman since we were 13, maybe earlier. Our Pastor said while they believe in traditional marriage, he would never, ever preach against gays. I just love that, because that's the essence of what it's all about. NOT JUDGING. You just hear so much crazy bad stuff about Christians persecuting others, when in reality we have no room to do so.

You've probably seen this, but I love it every time I watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYaewOBGybw

Oh, I know. I wasn't referring to you... but even on our "Gourmet juice" thread or the old one, when topics went to Religion or Politics, we ended up needing a moderator. That's the reason Jon and SweetTab had their falling out was because of politics. (at least it began that way) I personally can argue/have a difference of opinion without taking it to heart or being offended... I honestly like arguing to an extent. My brother and I used to do it constantly. Keeps your whits about you. Lol.
But no. You're sweet. I wasn't referring to you, personally. Whatever people choose as their religion (or lack thereof) is their business. Just wished everyone would have that mentality. It would solve A LOT of problems. People are too focused on what others are doing.
One thing that I have noticed way too many churches have in common is that they believe: "We are the only true church. We are the only ones who speak the truth. We are the only ones going to heaven, and the rest are going to hell"

Why do discussions on religion and politics (and golf clubs, and Provarii) go sour? Too many people believe "my opinion is right, and everybody else is wrong"

I heard all "wet food" was bad for their teeth? My cat isn't super picky. When she was a kitten my brother and I would offer her random stuff just to see if she'd eat it. (I don't do that anymore, of course) Her fur is super soft and silky... But the Blue Buffalo has Omega fat acids and all that stuff in there so that's why. It's one of the best foods on the market. No "by-products"... all good stuff.

I agree 1000% and that's why I am not religious. I won't even get into too much of what I believe... but I do believe their is a higher power of some sort. Actually I KNOW... but that's because I've experienced it. (crazy story that probably no one would believe) However, I do not look down on others if they choose to believe whatever it is they believe. My grandma is Christian... and that's great. I used to be... I am not sure that I am anymore. I guess it depends on what you would consider Christian. That seems to vary from person to person... But we are bordering a debate so I won't go "there". ESpecially since we seem to have many eyes upon us as of late.

It's best you just stay here. For your safety.

She's excellent. Couldn't have picked a better actress.

Back when I had a desk, MoMo (my cat) would jump up on the desk and lay on the keyboard. She's a good cat but is definitely one that makes it clear of what she wants and when she wants it.

That was a myth that was started by the grain companies to try and get folks to buy their product. Their thought was the wet food (mostly pâté) was not abrasive enough to keep teeth clean,,like the dry does. In reality, the crunching of dry kinda explodes off the tips and doesn't clean like they say it did. Reality is, neither one is bad or good in that aspect. The only thing that really is "good" for their teeth is something with whole meat muscle tissue (I.e. a piece of fresh chicken etc).
A good quality dry food is not bad, as long as your cat drinks enough water to not get dehydrated. Some cats simply do not drink enough, while others do. In the wild, a cat gets over 95% of its hydration from the food it eats.
I wish I could use at least some dry food, as it is convenient, but the health issues of one of the cats prevents it. It is easy to spot when a cat isn't getting enough water...especially when you scoop the litter box. A strong urine smell, and small puddle clumps are the easiest signs to spot.

So not saying a wet food diet is "best" for every cat, it just happens to be what works the best in my home

I could take a picture like that, but her fangs would be in my arm. Sera has a strong personality.

That pic was the early stages...shortly after that I get the "love taps" on the side of the face...followed by the full on pimp-slap with claws, then finally the little bites

Speaking of cats- I'm so sad. My son put his cat out. Cat has been getting out of the house & when he does decide to bring his ... in he pees on my sons' clothes- no one else's. just his.
LeX, can you please explain to us exactly what your son did with his cat? We're all confused over this statement. [........]
