I was ready to cut and paste quotes and info but I realized that DC2 had all the info and links in Post #27 in this thread.
Besides the MAOIs that are naturally occurring in tobacco, but are not in our eliquid, there is the question of ammonia...

There is debate about this topic, so I only present it for consideration.
And there may be other things they added that could increase the addictive potential, but I am not aware of any specifics.

Subversive: Are you up for an experiment in that?! Purely in the name of science? I'm curious to know if we could tell...

I'm up for trying with 100% PG and menthol. Maybe one day this week. It's a little scary. I've quit smoking cold turkey before, and I was a mess. Obviously I'll know, but I want to see if I can do it for a day. It would definitely be nice to cut down on the nic.

Don't be scared, because you can always use some nic-juice if you need to.

I've seen a number of stories of people who, for one reason or another, wound up vaping zero nic-juice without knowing it.
And none of them ever realized they were doing so.

(I'm going to have to assume that they were already vaping VG juice with no throat hit though)

Some of them were even convinced to just go with zero nicotine from that point on.

As for me, I'm not wanting to eliminate my minimal use of nicotine.
I want the health benefits it provides, without all the death.
:)

But if it's what interests you, I'm just saying that you might be surprised.

I have 4 ml in my carto tank. I'll vape that up today and mix a bottle of no-nic tonight. I'll probably have some nic in the morning, but will then switch to the no nic and see how it goes. I'm not worried about my nicotine intake; it's just an experiment to see what the monkey on my back is like now that it's been nearly 2 years since I smoked. The only complaint I truly have against nicotine is the addiction.

I think vaping worked so well for me because I could quickly adjust how much nicotine I was getting. Life is definitely not a linear experience! It's more of a Roller Coaster, sometimes smooth for a long time, sometimes the Bottom drops away!

I wish you luck on your experiment! "Inquiring minds want to know"! Lol I am glad to be free to use as little or as much nicotine as I need to get through each day. I'm sure the Government will wish to take this flexibility from us, but I think we are all well prepared. Please keep us updated. Thanks.

Relax, Enjoy!

I had nic in the morning yesterday, and then I switched. I lasted 6 hours. I liked the menthol/PG combo and thought the TH was decent, though it didn't have the peppery taste I am used to. I had cravings and my vaping was not scratching that itch, but I didn't go out of my mind or start climbing up the walls. I missed the "ahhh" feeling. Vaping was not as satisfying. I was tired, a little blue, and a little restless. I stayed off ECF because I was trying not to think about nicotine. That said, it also wasn't like it was when I quit smoking cold turkey in the past. After 6 hours without a cigarette, I would have absolutely been going nuts. I was surprised that it didn't feel the same. I didn't make the full 24 hours, but I was so tired and was hoping nic would wake me up. I am willing to concede that the chemicals in cigarettes make nicotine pack a stronger punch, though I definitely missed the nicotine in my vape yesterday.

Perhaps that restless feeling was just ECF withdrawal?! You did miss us, right? Lol

I feel much the same as you did. Definitely feel the effects of no nic but it is more like needing a caffeine fix rather than the nic fix from days of old. Definitely less stress because I know that I can have a nic vape when ever I want. My cravings from the cold turkey days were to the extent that they were the only thing on my mind. Missing a nic vape is more like an occasional thought that something is missing from my normal routine. Kind of like when it's time to stop for a coffee.

Going froward from here I am going to make vaping a conscious decision rather than a habit that I do without thinking about it. I will also mix my nic and no-nic juice so that I don't get the same routine all the time. I will not deny myself nicotine when I need it as stress relief or energy boost. I guess the summary would be to say that I'll use nic as required and that is the Great thing about Vaping. It lets me control exactly how much nic I get.

The main objective is to not deprive myself of nicotine to the point that smoking becomes an option. Smoking is no longer an option. Vaping is so much better in so many ways! And I am so Grateful for that!

Relax, Enjoy!
