Can anyone think of any flavorings that are more popular and used more in eliquids than caramel, vanilla, and tobacco? I can't.

Fruits are obviously popular, as is coffee, but I doubt that any particular fruit or liquid drink flavor that's used in vaping juice blends as much as the "Holy Trinity." Each of them plays well with other flavorings, and they are used in every combination---singly (meaning one of them alone or with other flavors), in pas de deux (meaning two of them used together with other flavors) or in triple-threat combo (as in RY4).

When used without other added flavors, tobacco and caramel are popular, as is tobacco and vanilla, but I can't think of too many juices that are flavored with just vanilla and caramel. Go figure. I guess vanilla and caramel both scream out to be mixed with other flavors. LOL.

If I had this to do over again, I might make some adjustments.

This one thread has cost many of us no telling how much $$ (and worth it as well)

Yes indeed this thread has prompted me to open my wallet on MANY occasions. But, I have no regrets. This thread is the only one I monitor on a regular basis and it was very educational to me in my early days of vaping. There are many quality juice artisans out there that I most likely would never have enjoyed had I not learned of them here. Long live The Really Big RY4 Roundup.

I have tried several of VTR's tobacco blends. Each is different, not because of the additional flavors. The tobaccos are differnet for most every blend. Captains Delight tastes like a fresh cut pipe tobacco, flavored with the other two sides of the ry4 triangle.

The tobacco in Captains Delight is delicious. It actually tastes like you are in a men's club with pipe smokers. It very well could be the best tobacco flavor I have tried. I find it easier to describe what this flavor is not. It does not taste like a cigarette smells. It is not earthy, nor does it have a smoke flavor. It has the natural sweetness of a pipe tobacco present throughout the vape.

The caramel is light, but also felt thoughout the vape. The vanilla is lighter still, and lingers on the exhale.

This really is one of the best custom ry4 blends, from a quality vendor. I am going to ship half my 30ml to Bill, and then we will see how it holds up to his palate.

Speaking of Rockies I finally got my order in for Rocky Top Vapors RY4, I see they are from TN. hum wounder if those good old folks are part of MOV since MOV seems to control that state and not to mention they like to mix for about 5 other vendors hahaha!!!! This one was a pricey one also $11.85 shipped for 10ml so I sure hope its a good one , also they did not have low nic so I had to go with 11mg for a tester.

I found no place where Captains Delight was marked as an RY4, but it tastes like one to me.

Interesting. Doctor Vapenstein identifies Captains Delight first as a Captain Black replicant, then as a mild Cavendish blend.

I've never vaped Captains Delight, but the product page refers to another, presumably related VTR juice---First Mate. I have a bottle of First Mate. To my palate, it bears no resemblance at all to an RY4, but that tells us nothing about the Captain. I'll look forward to getting hangdude's care package to find out.

We've had a couple of lively debates on the thread about whether or not certain juices qualify as RY4s. ECSI Jane's Toasted Toffee Kick Juice and NLV Caramel Corral come to mind. Both of those were ultimately excluded from The Big List. We'll see how Captains Delight fares.

I reviewed the First Mate a month ago. I summarized, "Fresh cut tobacco with a bite of chocolate cream." It seems to be related to Captains Delight, maybe its younger brother.

I can send you some of their WJG. I have no idea what it is. They describe it as tobacco with two liquors. It just doesn't fit my tastes. To me, it resembles a lung full of over-chlorinated water. I like the Missouri Bottoms (more cigarette, but with spiciness) and the Bourbon Leaf Tobac, but the Captains D and First Mate are my favorites.

dude,

Here are the juices from VapeTheRockies that I currently have in my stash (and have tried, obviously):

Bourbon Leaf Tobacco
Tobac First Mate
Tobac Kentucky Light
Tabac W-J-G
Voluptuous Vanilla

I didn't fall in love with any of them, although I think they're all quality juices.

If you can spare a small sample of Missouri Bottoms (along with Captains Delight), that would be cool.

When I ordered from VTR back in February of last year, Missouri Bottoms was out of stock, and Captains Delight wasn't even offered (if I recall correctly). Otherwise, I would have gotten them also.
