The Really Big RY4 Report Card

The grades given for these RY4s are my opinion only. They are also current judgments and may differ from grades I gave in the past. So please understand that if you base a buying decision solely on this list, you might end up getting an RY4 that I like rather than one you’ll like, since my tastes and palate are unlikely to match yours perfectly---in some cases, not even remotely.

Within each grade, the RY4s are listed in alphabetical order. This kind of judging is ridiculous enough without splitting hairs or nit-picking between RY4s within the same grade.

Just got my SI RY4 in, bought Tues night and got here today, can't wait to try it. Cleaned all my Cartos and tanks and should be dry by tonight to try. I'm a newby, only tried one RY4 (Spring Vapors, actually tasting pretty good right now after steeping for several weeks), but I'll be reviewing SI's sometime this weekend. Only thing I can say right now is it there isn't much smell (if any) to it like the other 4 flavors I've had.
I'm assuming, since SI's RY4 isn't custom made, that steeping isn't as big as deal as with some of the others, but I've got the top off anyway.

So I got my Smokeless Image Ry4 today. It's pretty good, but I was hoping for a more "buttery" kind of caramel and vanilla flavor, anyone know which of the good Ry4s have that quality?

Also I was wondering if SI changed their formula since time of review. The review says that it's 100%pg but the liquid seems thicker than some 70/30 formulas, also is the color is clear like water with a very slight tint. No big deal, just checking if they changed it, still pretty good though

I have this in the 6mg but mine is also a light yellow color, I wouldn't call it clear, or even clear with a slight tint. I know that although most of the SI juices come pre-steeped, I definitely got a little bit of richer taste on this one after a little bit of steeping (cap off overnight for a couple nights, plenty of shaking in between) so you might wanna give that a try too.

PS sorry my reply is several weeks late. I was away last week and this thread, being one of several I follow, tends to take me several days to get caught back up on.

Bill was kind enough to include me in the Skydancer RY4 v2 batch. It is truely wonderful and although I did pay him what he originally asked, I kinda feel it was not enough....

I think I'm the culprit in linking Bloog RY4 to SmokelessImage Volt RY4, in a posted review early on in the thread: #439.

I felt at the time that they were nearly identical, if not exactly the same. So close, however, that pragmatically they could be considered the same juice. Whether they are still similar, I don't know, since I haven't ordered any of either RY4 recently.

The third company that some poster felt was similar was BreezESmokes RY4, which I never sampled/reviewed and is not on The Big List, for reasons that are best left unstated.

I've been vaping my SI RY4 all weekend, although I can not give as indepth review as you guys (maybe it's my taste buds, maybe it's my newbyism), I can say I like it, it's smooth, no weird perfumey taste like I experienced with the other RY4 I tried. It tastes good, I can't taste the caramel/vanilla flavors distinctively like other reviews do, again, maybe it's my taste buds, maybe it's because it needs to steep more, but I do like it, just a sweeter, good taste, similar to Mr E's Grey Matter (I now it's not supposed to as GM is not a RY4).
Not a Billherbst kinda of review, but it's all I got, I will update if I get anything different as it steeps more.

I have lurked this thread for a long time, I think I posted in it once, long ago. Anyway, just wanted to thank Bill and all who contribute here for the wonderful info. I stopped purchasing vender juice long ago and switched to DYI. So far TFA Double RY4 is the best RY4 flavor I have found. When I started vaping I purchased several flavors at the same time... 555, desert ship, RY4 etc. (can't remember who the vender was or what brand the juice was). At first they all tasted bland. Most likely the juice needed to steep and my taste buds were still dead from all those years of smoking. One night I was vaping away while watching TV and it hit me.....dang this juice is good. I ran to my study to see what flavor I had loaded up and realized it was the RY4. I remember it had a smooth sweet flavor with a nice after taste of nuts. Every since then I want the nutty aspect to any RY4 I vape. Long story short, thanks to this thread I ordered some RY4 Nutzilla. Can't wait to try it!!!
