So, what is it about these steam cleaners that make them so effective. Examples?

I don't really know why it works so well. I have an old Shark hand held steamer ... I don't see those for sale anymore, but there is a bissell model that looks almost identical.

The big plus for me is its quick and it works perfect IMO.

I wait till I have 10 or 12 to do in a shot. And it takes me maybe 10 minutes from start to finish.
It has a tiny nozzle and I just rinse in hot water then blast them from both ends with the steamer.
It takes about 20-30 seconds for each. Then I hit them with some compressed air.

If you need to you can vape on them in just a few minutes of dry time after the compressed air.
The steamer leaves them quite dry ... not like running water through them.

They always come back to better than new for me. I steam all mine before first use as well just to be sure they taste good.

The only down side I see is you can get spoiled and wan't to throw a clean one on the mod every few hours :)

BTW, it works much better with 510s. When I clean my 306 attys I steam them with the drip tip on.
They steam up great if you have a cannon DT and shoot the steam in there just like the barrel of a 510.

Been steaming attys since Sept 2010 with nothing but great results.
I bought a sonic cleaner to see what all the buzz was about with them.
The folks that think sonic cleaning is the way to go have not yet tried steam.

After many many cleanings you can start to steam the wicks right out of them, but thats cool with me.

I have some attys that I am sure have been steam cleaned at least 50 or 60 times.

.

I've been known to fall asleep watching tv and waking up around 3 or 4 am. Shark sometimes has infomercials then.

Thanks for the explanation. Really appreciate it since I honestly didn't have a clue on how I would of cleaned them otherwise. I really got to get one of those soon. Actually checking some out right now. The price doesn't seem to bad. Although, I only have 7 atties left that survived the massacre LOL Planning on getting some maelstroms to try them out and more cisco's when my stock of cartos run thin. Went a little crazy lately

its the power, baby...all about the power...and of course the temp of the steam...I'm really just guessing here. nevermind, think the heat has got me...going now......*slinking away*

LOL! Anyways, yeah I heard that the heatwave all across the country is getting pretty bad. Yet to see a full week of sun in Seattle. Gets close than at least one day out of the week. The rain shows up out of nowhere.

quick question, I have AW IMR 14500 with boge 2.0, is standard AW 14500 750mah give me more battery life and same perfomrance as IMR with boges 2.0ohm?

in my experience, yes. Can't speak to the Boge 2.0s, because I just started using one yesterday so I have little experience to draw upon. :)

If you haven't ordered them, might as well stick to 510s, I received mine today and took pictures: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...06-2-0-lr-cartomizers-photos.html#post3725132

Yeah, I was waiting on finishing up my current stock of cartos before I went ahead and ordered some to try out. But, nice review and from the sounds of it. Your right, I might as well stick with the 510's. Really wanna try out the resurrectors from CCV. Probably gonna get some of those once the time comes.

Let me put it this way. As much as I love my Reo it's never vaped like my ProVari until the CCV Resurrectors. I've used Boge LR Caroto's. LR 306's, LR or SR 510s. Don't get me wrong it was still sweet with the LR's but I just wasn't getting the oomph I experienced when I vaped the ProVari. Granted, I'm dialing in the voltage to a consistent 4.2, 4.3 or higher, depending, and I really wanted that with the Reo 'cause I was using the Reo more than the ProVari.
I was really wanting Robert to get with the guys at Provape and come up with a ReoVari but I don't think about that so much now that I'm using the CCV Resurrectors on the Reo.

Had a long talk with Rob about switching to Cartos. They're obviously the more cost efficient way to go about vaping... But they also perform much better than dealing with the mess of atty's leaking e-juice back into the reserve-well.

For the first few weeks of ownership, I used nothing but the Cisco LR306, and I had to mess around with over-squonking or risk a burnt flavor all the time.

Now I don't.

Fresh Boge LR510 Carto and I'm back to enjoying my REO as it was meant to be enjoyed. Sure, it doesn't look as good as having a 306 and a short drip tip, but it's a matter functioning best, and value in buying a 5-pack of Cartos for less than the price of 1 stand-alone atty.

Thank you guys for all the info!

i will second that, my mini runs the Resurrectors great. no more attys for me, seems pointless.

You have conviced me to buy some RESURRECTORS! I placed my order yesterday.

i seem to be lucky to get 3 weeks out of an atty. If i can get just 1 week out of a carto then that would be 15 weeks of vaping for about the same price as 3 LR 306's (if/when you can find them at $5 each + shipping). I really hope that they work as great as everyone seems to say. It'll be so nice to start using my dark/sweet flavors again since I wont be so bummed if a carto dies early. Crossing my fingers for a dual coil freebie to compare, but I always seem to be unlucky when it comes to free stuff.

I'll be sure to post back with my thoughts. :)
