Dinner is not going so well. I failed to plan well. I was going to roast carrots, so went to get the carrots and realized I used half of them drunk cooking with my friend the other night. So not enough. I was going to do potatoes, not enough of them either.

So I am baking apples with cinnamon and brown sugar instead, and going to serve the pork with the apples, quinoa and canned veggies of something green, either beans or peas. Luckily I keep some back up quick stuff like cans for emergencies! And I am sure my brothers will like the apples even better than icky old carrots or potatoes. At least I figured out a way to use the huge bag o' apples DH scored at costco!

Yep, baked apples are WAY better than carrots... sounds like it wasn't a fail at all. You know, I have my best cooking moments when something goes wrong... I run outta something or mess something up... then I really know what I made of!
Sounds like a great dinner!

Issue back sigh

I hate to ask this, but have you contacted Rob yet? If he can't troubleshoot it over the phone, he'll probably ask you to send it in.

If I remember correctly, you're having inconsistent firing on a grand...is it upgraded or does it have the original spring and positive battery contact?

Okay...I've done a little searching and here is what I've come up with.

Are you using a button cover? Some buttons (the black ones) have slid down the button a bit and ended up not allowing full contact to be made. If this is happening, then we just need to add a little bit of paper or something inside the cover hole before you put it back on. That should lift it up enough to allow full movement of the button.

If you have checked to see the screws in the atomizer are tight, filed the battery contact (with really good pressure, not like filing our nails) and you are still having issues, I recommend you contact Rob and send it in for a once over. I guarantee when you get it back, it will work like new.

Very nice Lisa. It seems to be moving along a light speed now. What direction does the front face? Will you have a spare room for Sasquatch? I'm sure he lives in those woods.

Hi Laurin  It faces Southish. And Sasquatch has his own digs up the hill from us. No need to spend the night and all....easy walking distance.

I'm surprised you didn't make tarte tatin with apples... but whadda i know.

I'm just an eating machine.

T

That would require flour. Flour is made of wheat. Wheat has gluten. I am allergic to gliadin, which is what is in gluten. But back in the good old days, that would have been a big win!
