Howdy, Fleet. doing good, you? how is the hand doing?

It's still numb, Dennis. But it's not too bothersome. Just played a bit of guitar, gonna play some more so at least it's not getting in the way of that. And I've always been ambidextrous to a large extent.

Little story about that. I used to play darts in a league. Steel tip. (For those that don't know darts I apologize, just ignore this one...) I was playing a game of 301 against an opponent from another team and ended up with a two dart out. In other words, if I threw 2 darts in just the right place I would win the match. In 301 your last dart out has to be a double which means it has to land on a certain number on the outside ring which is a space about 1/4" tall and 1 1/4" inches wide if it were a rectangle instead of part of a circle (roughly.) In any event, it's a very small space. I threw my first dart with my right hand and it landed in the number I needed. I then switched stance and threw my dart to double out (towards that very small space) with my left hand, without skipping a beat, and it landed right where it needed to be. Game over and won. Should have seen the look on my opponents face :) And the looks of my teammates. It was all so smooth. Happened real quick like. Just stunned everyone. I'd played a lot of darts prior to that game in league play and had never seen anyone do it before, or after. It just was one of those moments in life where everything aligned with the stars and the play was effortless. That one game was more fun for me than winning championships....

Anyway, thanks for asking, I'm hoping it gets better soon. I think it will.

Good evening, Dennis & Fleet :)

Thanks Fleet...I dunno, it's not near as pleasant a process as folks make it out to be. Double edged sword if you ask me.

Oh, I'm sure. Still exciting nonetheless and I'm the kind of person who enjoys others achieving their desires. Not really jealous but it is something I would like to do one day. Have a nice house, in the woods, lots of acreage around me so I can run naked at night and howl at the moon. :) And not get arrested....

 Ya, that would only happen in winter. The mosquitoes are viscous up there during the summer.

Oh come on Yeshe, you need to ask Vsummer1 (Valerie) who DH is? I have been waiting for someone new to come along and chat with Valerie and ask this question. I should have asked a long time ago but since I didn't it is now obviously too embarrassing for me to ask. I decided it means Dummy Husband since I'm pretty sure that is what my ex's said about me. My father called me SH, but that's another story.

I mean this forum has lots of acronyms in use (right peeps, back me up on this):

HRH - Her Royal Highness
DH - Dummy Husband
Umm, I'm thinking, I'm thinking. Oh shucks, my mind went blank.

Now I feel silly. I'm relatively new to forums in general but I've been a regular on another forum for a while and one of my pals there calls her hubby DH. All this time I assumed those were his initials!! When I saw Vsummer had a DH I thought to myself, "hmm, her hubby is DH too. What a coincidence."
Thanks for clearing that up.

And good early morning to everyone.

Very nice Lisa. It seems to be moving along a light speed now. What direction does the front face? Will you have a spare room for Sasquatch? I'm sure he lives in those woods.

Fugget about Sasquatch! What about a room for us ReoVillagers? All we need is one room for all of us. That would make for one heck of Reo party; one drum of eliquid, one roll of CVS cotton, couple of rolls of Kanthal and something to keep us hydrated. Just make sure you remove the smoke alarm in our room.

Seriously Lisa, it's looking great and very happy for you and yours!

Happy Friday ReoVillains!

Good morning REOvillians!

Last night's dinner was a hit. They loved the apples and the roast came out perfect. I didn't add too much brown sugar to the apples so they would be more like a side than a dessert and so still healthy. Usually for a dessert I would add cups rather than tablespoons, but it worked. I had some leftover, but with a little prodding everyone managed to finish them off. Can't say the same about the quinoa and peas though...

Happy Friday everyone! Have a safe and happy weekend. :toast:

Hey all!

Lotta posts to catch up on!

Lisa! Your home is coming along swiftly in so short a time. Now i have a really good visual of what the finished product will be. It's going to be stunning!

I finally found another home, i'll be moving on July 11. No senior place this time:laugh: ( I feel like I'm in a fishbowl here...) I HATE other people dictating when i go to sleep or wake up, hear the toilet flushing or the woman next door banging around in the kitchen. i swear there's absolutely no insulation in this building, every body's nose is in everybodie's business.

"Sides, it's depressing seeing people in wheelchairs and walkers, ambulances all the time...it feels like a senior care facility!
I'm too young for this kinda life!

The new place is a regular ole apartment with my own entrance and parking space...and i can plant flowers Yahoo!!

Gotta run, I have a lotta packing to do...

Thanks, Sashwa! :) It's getting there. I'm super anxious now. Need to get moving estimates, fix a shower snafu (sales' fault...:grr:), and something else...but I can't remember because I'm hyper focused on the shower issue. I swear, that guy (the so-called PM) knows nothing about project management or how to follow up. I'm so ...... at him right now. I just called the manufacturer to ask some questions that should have been discussed before the showers were ordered and found out the change order he wrote was for the WRONG SHOWERS!!! I ain't paying for his eff up. I know its been a few years since I worked in the building industry...but I seriously feel compelled to show him how to do his job right now. On a side note...these showers are handicap showers with special grab bars, etc. They are not cheap. Ugh! When we're done with this guy, he's going to wish he retired instead of taking this job. :grr: He's a salesman with no building experience...shouldn't be in the PM position at all. Our general is going to regret this.

Sorry for the vent...

Welcome, sllanham! :) Can't wait to see it...pics are required, ya know. :D
