Ok, story time!
When I first started writing software as a professional I worked for a company that also employed someone recently from China. She liked to be called Jane. This was many years ago and China was not the place it is now.
Well, one day she tells me about this delicacy they love called a thousand year old egg. (Some call it a hundred year old egg.) Basically, they coat an egg in spices and other things and bury it in the ground for a good long time. Then you peel and eat. I said sure! I'll try it so she brought one in.
Of course the outside was all discolored and, upon peeling the shell, the inside was the consistency of a hard boiled egg. And it was translucent green. Kind of stunk too. You think that eggplant went too long before eating? Hah! So, as promised, I took a bite. Oh my, it was the worst taste I ever tasted. And I couldn't get it out of my mouth. For 24 hours. Foul, foul stuff. I gave her back what was left of my half and she polished all of it off with gusto! It was simply the worst think I've ever eaten in my life. And the taste wouldn't go away. But, I did try it
(But I'd never eat another, hehehe)

Just wanted to stop in and say hi. I have yet to get any work done on restoring my 1981 Goldwing as this warm weather has brought on a huge HunnyDo list and the kids car has been neglected too long as well. Hopefully I will get more time and at least get caught up here. Oh and lets not forget about tending the garden that just HAD to be planted and now is ONLY maintained by me, hmmm..funny how that works.
I hope everyone is well and enjoying this summer. I sure wish I had a portable air conditioner I could strap on though, I hate being not and sweaty.

Kay you are a hoot. But after talking to me on the phone you should know I can't read between the dots and I don't "obey" very well.I think I told you on the phone that I had a face for radio. But I will think about it. It really was neat to put a face with a name on that thread but I fell in love with most of ya'll sight unseen. There are some wonderful people that live in reoville.
If I get a decent pic....I will post it. (but don't hold your breath)

The last person that came looking for me with a shotgun underestimated the heat and rural nature of where i live, as well as the confusing street names and forgot to pack his medicine, assuming finding an Englishman would be like shooting fish in a barrel.
5 hours later and dehydrated, confused and totally lost, the police had to escort him home. Too bad!
