Yummmm. Im not a big veggie fan but love asparagus. Before moving back to the Bay Area we would go to the asparagus festival every year to taste all things asparagus. Naturally my fav was deep fried asparagus but the asparagus in Baltic vinegar was delicious.....asparagus ice cream not so much.
Asparagus with cracked pepper, sea salt and olive oil. Cooked on the grill in a foil pouch. Yumm

Okra is too slimy for me unless it's fried. Love it fried. Now I'm hungry again and I just ate
I feel the same way about cabbage....but fried in bacon grease....yummm. I some times wonder how any blood reaches my heart.
I do the okra on the upper cooking rack unwrapped so I think it helps regarding sliminess...
I feel ya. I spent my entire lunch at the smoke pit vaping and I'm borderline nic sick. Definitely dizzy. Now I'm back just asking for more.
Only place I can handle cabbage is in an egg roll or an old Greek cabbage salad my mom makes. Cooked on its own the smell turns me off from it so bad

I'm sorry I missed this...been down hard with the flu. So bad I didn't even have the energy to read. Ya, that's sad. I'm almost back to normal, for the most part, but still weak ...easily exhausted. So no, haven't even seen one firework yet. They banned fireworks here, so not much has been going on. Kind of a double edged sword for me. Happy for my dogs, but not a fan of the whole "banning" thing.
Oh well...I'm off to go have lunch with my inlaws....I'll try to catch up later this evening.
Laid down and at least rested. I thought this was Friday. I lost a day somewhere. Heck I still haven't found my mojo I lost weeks ago. It is pouring rain here. The ground is positively giddy.

I'm thinking some Crispy Scallion Chicken from my fav little Chinese Restaurant would be mighty tasty. (sorry Mama)
I try to do that about 2:30 or so everyday, then it's cup of strong coffee and I'm good till about 11:00 PM.
