Good morning everyone. Once again I'm up by 5:45. Oh well who needs sleep anyway? Two new things at work today. First we all got a memo that due to shift swapping and call ins, hours are being cut and the ones with the best track record and on the bosses good side will not loose any, so thankfully I still have mine. And we are getting a new sandwhich in the next few days. Not sure about other Wendy's, but we are getting a pulled pork sandwhich so look out for that one ;) hope everyone is having a good Friday

Good morning, Joseph! Glad you didn't end up losing hours. I might have to try that pulled pork. Love it! I used to be a huge Wendy's fan years ago, but the regular burgers got way too salty for me. at least at the one here in town. Unfortunately, the best sandwich I ever had there, a bacon portobello whatever, they discontinued. I wrote to Wendy's asking about it, but they never responded. Oh well, such is life in corporate America. Have a great Friday!

Happy Friday Reoville!

I had a great visit with my friend Mac yesterday. Took him out for lunch at his favorite restaurant at the Elkhorn Golf Club in Stockton. Oh the stories he has to tell at his age is captivating. He had lived in the same studio apartment in SF since 1945. Worked for the second largest taxi service in SF as Operations Manager for 62 years. Recently moved to a retirement community in Stockton and now has a 1 bedroom apartment. He is loving it. Misses his friends in the city but it doesn't take long for this man to make friends. He did most of the talking as I was, as usual, enraptured by his reminisces of his exploits of his life. Such a wonderful person and he was truly appreciative that I came to visit. All told, it was me that was grateful for the time we spent together.

He was a long time pipe smoker (just gave it up at the start of this year). When we use to play golf he knew I used some sort of gadget that blew smoke out but couldn't wrap his head around vaping. But he saw my woodvil and says "oh lordy, you got yourself a new device there", smiled and shook his head. He understands that this device is better than cigarettes, so he didn't have much more to say other than "times do change".

Here is a photo of my friend Mac:
