You as well Eratik. Enjoy! So far so good for me. I've actually eaten quite a bit so mah belly's full, I didn't nap today so should be able to sleep well tonight. Did all the right things to set me up for a good weekend. Even got a fair amount of guitar playing in with my buddy so things are looking better and brighter than they have in quite a while.

Ok ladies and gentlemen, a new song is afoot. This one is for Lady Kay who has put a lifetime into the adoration of Elvis (maybe two!) and all are encouraged to give it their best shot!!!! Enjoy! :)

Remember, no searching explicitly for the lyrics, You Tube is your friend. Please post as soon as you have it figured out and, Torey, no sleeping on the job!

That's mighty kind of you Torey. I thought I might have this problem because: Aside from hearing him everywhere, for all time, I am not at all familiar with his body of work. If he's playing in the elevator or department store I know it's him and aside from a few huge hits I've heard very little of him. Don't kill me, I just don't know him that well. It'd kind of be like my picking a Bing Crosby song. Not enough experience with artist or genre.

So how to handle this and other similar things where I want all people to have some fun. I can either say I don't know the artist well enough and not include him or her, or perhaps I could enlist the help of others, like you for example, and have you pick the song since you'd be extremely more familiar with what would or wouldn't be familiar.

I think I like the last idea more. Since this is all new I expected some pitfalls along the way but figured with other peoples help we could work around any problems that arose. This is one of them. You like music a lot, want to partner up with me so we can entertain as many as possible? I actually think that would be a good idea. It only would need to be if I wanted to do a genre I wasn't familiar with so you could still play and if you were to pick the song then I could play. What do you think?

And everyone is welcome to join this discussion and help out with ideas. It's for all of us! I'm very open to anything anyone has to suggest.

Lady Kay? Would you mind doing the honors of solving the puzzle currently at hand :) And we'll come up with a plan to accommodate as many folks as we can.

Good Saturday Morning REOVille. Been a rough couple of weeks. Took five days off around Labor Day and really tried to get some projects done around the House/ Yard. Over-did it, and my old arthritic knees have flared up badly. Eating Ibuprofen like M&M's and wearing hinged knee braces just to make it though the workday.
Last night Mamaw brought home something called a 'Copper Fit'. It's a copper thread infused sleeve for the knee. A rather flimsy thing (my socks are thicker) that fits quite comfortably under the pants leg. I was doubtful at first, but this thing really eases the swelling/ pain. Hopefully the Ice pack/ elevated evenings will end soon, and I'll at least be able to piddle around again. Losing 30 to 40 pounds wouldn't hurt either, but whenever I mention the word 'Diet' Mamaw makes Meatloaf. Or Banana Pudding. Or Fudge Brownies. or....

Have a Safe and Blessed Day Everyone :)

Good morning, Reoville! Seems the rain is tapering off, so I might be able to get some cleanup done in the yard this weekend. Papaw, I hope those sleeves work for you. I'd be interested if they do as I have arthritis issues as well.

Everyone, keep Mike (Uno Mas) in your thoughts and prayers. Seems last week he was hospitalized due to having a heart attack. He had to have a couple stents and seems to be feeling better, but not returned to working yet. You all please, take care of yourselves!

Really sorry to hear you're in pain. Losing some weight is often times helpful. But it's not something that happens now when you need it. Have the same issue with my back. And, of course, if it's hard to move and you hurt, that itself is an impediment to dropping a few lbs. Hope you start feeling better soon!
