Is it May yet?!?!?! Down here in Amish country we're getting a break with temps in the 40's and 50's up thru the weekend. We actually had a icy thunderstorm come thru this morning with one house getting zapped by lightning.
Next week it's back to the cold.......

I'm fine. I'm scarce because I work two full time jobs and have increasing family obligations. Thank goodness the fruits of my labor enable those that refuse to work to enjoy a better quality of life than what I enjoy myself. I'm not bitter about it.



Big picture, I'm blessed. Just gotta remind myself of that. Over and over.

I have one thing to say about Florida weather: HUMIDITY!!! 86 degrees with 86% humidity is what I remember! To be honest my last trip to Florida we had wonderful weather. It was in April and the humidity was low. But after living in Fl. for 9 years I know all to well the months on end of high humidity.

I liked Las Vegas much better! Even with the temps of 120 in the summer. Humidity, well it was roasted away!!!

I was pregnant with my first child when I lived in Florida. Our little apartment did not have air conditioning. I had him early in September. Miserable was not even close to how I felt!!!

Take a shower only to sweat before I could get dressed. Then walk outside and get sand between my toes. Pure torture!!!

But the beach was fun! Until night time and a bad sunburn!!!
