Well, thanks to Scot, mogium and Darrel, i just got done downloading Skype. My heart's still up in my throat..... I'm too old to be trying new tricks!

I used the Microsoft download as I don't trust most sites:(
Now to get a cheapie webcam...well, maybe not too cheap, I want it to work!

You folks have opened up a whole new pc world for me!

Good morning REOvillians!

Kay, I don't use my camera with Skype. I too have taped over the built in camera. You can still talk and see other peeps without the camera, or use the chat feature and type messages. And yes, you can have several people on all at once, or at least you used to be able to. I haven't really used Skype in years. I hope you find it more useful than I ever have. :)

I sure wish my cat would get lazy. So far today she has run the racetrack uncountable times (from the breakfast nook, through the den, down the hall, through the family room, across the pool table, down the other hall to the bedroom where she pauses to taunt the dog through the slider, then back down the hall, sliding through the corner, down the other hall and back through the den to the breakfast nook where she pauses to check for birds in the window). She really enjoys running. A lot. And jumping.

The coup de grace for the day: she learned she could NOT jump from the piano to the stereo cabinet. I already called DH to ask him to buy a bigger pot for the plant that WAS on the cabinet. Poor plant is in a bucket for now. I guess the cat was just trying to help by telling us it needed a new pot, after all it does seem a bit rootbound

I wouldn't be able to keep up with her

As it is, I just sit back and enjoy the show and hope nothing (else) gets broken. She plays more pool than we do, the cue ball always seems to be "missing" from the top of the table. I blocked off a few holes so she can play longer since it's safer than her playing with whatever else catches her fancy, like plants?
