happy Sunday!

metal Reos had a good bath, new contacts in, new coils done, coffee in my mug, dishwasher and washing machine running, youngest outside with her friends, oldest still sick in bed, hubs at work and I'm procrastinating against the list of Sunday chores "on the board."

ECF is a great procrastination enabler!

hope everyone had/is having a great weekend!

Good morning REOvillians!

Has anyone heard about Lauren? He has been on my mind, and hoping he is doing well.

Beautiful picture Jen!

Karen, about the Yellow Tail? The type of grape is moscato, which is a sweet grape. Any moscato will be sweet, you don't need to go Australian with it. There are some nice sparkling wines that will be sweet like that, the Asti's are made from the moscato grape as well and are the Italian sparkling version. The line of Stella's are sparkling and sweet also, the peach and black are my favorites. Another on the sweet side is a Reisling. Also, any ice wine or dessert wine is going to be sweet. Sometimes the expensive wines aren't necessarily the best for YOU and you should judge by what YOU like and not what the wine connoisseurs think is good since their standards are theirs and not yours. Once you find a grape or style that you like, you can try other makers. I took a box wine I like, of such an insignificant vintage that it didn't even give the name of the grape (it is just a rose), and gave it to my snobby friend without telling her and changed her world. She liked it! Just goes to show that some people give more credence to the price tag or the maker rather than the taste.

Maybe when you are in Washington if you guys have time Lisa could take you to a wine tasting. They have some good wineries up there!

I hope everyone is having a safe and happy weekend!

Good morning Val!

Thank you for the wine lesson! Since I really don't drink much, wine was always something I just wouldn't even consider. It has a health benefit and for that reason alone I sure wouldn't mind finding some that I can really enjoy.

I remember once at a upscale restaurant ordering a $8 glass of wine. I took a sip and left it behind when I left. Since then I have tasted a bit here and there always confirming my dislike.

Lisa told me I should have bought the other bottle of Moscato. To her the Pink Moscato is not quite as sweet. I will try it and see.

Jungle Jim's has a wine tasting bar and they also have huge wine tasting events. It might be something I look into attending.

My recent experience has given me a more positive outlook on wine.

Bookmarked your post for reference later!

Thanks, Val. :)
I think Laurin's surgery is tomorrow. I haven't seen him around today either. Hope he peeks in before his surgery.

The sun is shining here and my first lily of the year finally opened. Happy Sunday everyone!

Morning Jen!

What a gorgeous flower! We are not quite there yet for the pretty flowers to bloom.

I have been thinking about you often. Dallas/Ft. Worth will be a stop on my flight to WA. Sure wish I could spend some time in the states where I will touchdown! Now that would be a really fun trip!

Have a terrific day sweetie!

Surgery tomorrow at noon EST. :) I decided not to bring any vaping gear with me. And I was going to bring my point and shoot camera to do some photo documentary and I decided to leave that home too. I can't vape after 6 PM today...ugggg.

Beautiful spring day in northern NY. Trees and fields are a million shades of verdant green. Ireland has nothing on the northeast in spring.Lilac is just blossoming. Blue skies, big white puffy clouds and a fresh clean breeze. Kinda sounds like Reoville is all the time.

Hung up a hummingbird feeder two days ago and they have found it. Those of us east of the Mississippi River are hummingbird variety starved as we have just one species here. Its not a very colorful one. You folks in the west have quite a few different ones and some with spectacular colors. At times a hummingbirds heart rate can be as high as 1200 beat per minute. 1200 beats per minute. "What is a hummingbirds heart rate, Alex."

Anyway, catch you all later. Thanks everyone.

When tasting wines, remember to start with the driest and work your way to the sweetest. Otherwise, the less sweet (drier) wines will taste much less sweet than they really are.
