Hi Val and Lisa. Interesting stuff, I've been aware of it for other reasons such as my suspected Asperger's (definitely high functioning and I've learned how to cope with many things so many people wouldn't see it in me. But many do once they know what to look for. Since it is a a spectrum you can be on the far end of it, yet still have it have a major negative impact on your life if you're not aware of why the world makes no sense when it's perfectly logical as to how it should work. Gluten free diets have been suggested in similar cases with some people reporting success.

Girlfriends and whatnot have to learn not to ask me if a dress makes them look fat..... As I've said before, I take things quite literally and well, if they didn't want to know, why would they ask? I've been compared to Mr. Spock more times than I can remember.....

Edit: and I've made a lot of women cry. I really didn't mean to.....
 My husband learned to say "Honey, that really doesn't look flattering on you." ;) He has always been honest....to a fault. :glare::laugh:

Trees are worth getting excited for. I have a few...do you need some more?

No thank you, but I appreciate the offer. Big trees were the reason our drainage, sprinkler and concrete were rooted out (and the foundation was going to be next so we had to tear them out before the house went sideways.) We got trees that won't do that, and are installing them so the roots go far down below anything they can damage :D

Messed around a bit more with my pictures and have one that I love...out of 200+, that's not bad.

I love it! Sooo beautiful. Thanks for sharing...hope you don't mind if it becomes a background on computer and/or phone for a little while. Let me know if you would prefer me not to do it. I have lots of pics that I just cycle through...gotta be Broncos in a few months!

Ya, we had a problem with that here at the house we live in now. Ended up having to cut down the most beautiful ornamental Cherry tree....still grieving over that one.

DH moves very slowly. If not for the flooding, I doubt this would even be happening now. The trees were cut down several years ago and I was so sad! Then he growled about the electric bill being higher in summer than ever before. No shade in 115 degree heat I told him. Get some trees and real grass I told him. Then Lake Garland formed and flowed up on the patio and once the house was threatened, he had to fix the drainage or I would get new flooring (I could have worked with that....) And if you are going to tear up the backyard to put in drainage, may as well redo it while it is all torn up.

My poor little trees are nothing like the beauties we had to take out and I don't think they ever will be. But at least they are there!

For her it wasn't hard at all...suffer in pain or change your habit. For someone like me who doesn't suffer...it is hard.

I dumped the gluten for a few months. I didn't notice a change, darn it. Was very hopeful since this is not all that uncommon for it to be tied to the fibro. So glad you MIL was one of the lucky ones. I would give up gluten forever if I could feel better without pills. Wish I could use the other stuff, but I drive truck and am not allowed. I have heard great things about one of the byproducts...no altered states and lots of relief/healing.

My MIL turned into a whole new person once the pain and depression went away....here she is a couple of years ago on her birthday. This gal was pain free and fearless! I can only hope I can be half the woman she is when I get to be her age.

I am a bit jealous! To be pain free would be such a gift....a miracle, really. God bless your MIL!!!! And you too, of course!

I am cranky too my grand randomly stops firing one puff works great the next puff Nothing

Sorry to hear that. Is it old? Dirty? Maybe time for an SO kit or good cleaning? I can certainly understand being cranky about that :)

You live next to my old stomping grounds. Lived in Sarasota/Bradenton area for 20 years up until 3 years ago. I miss it..... Hoping to maybe go back one day...

Maybe try this: take the door off, when you press down the firing pin and it doesn't fire keep the pin held down and rotate the battery with your thumb a quarter turn all while holding the pin down. Does it start firing? If so then maybe clean top of battery and bottom of firing pin if it's not one with the SO kit in it. Does this happen with all your batteries or just one? Any chance something got up in there by the contact that is keeping it from coming down all the way? I know this is really basic stuff you're sure to be aware of but have to start somewhere, right? Plus I'm sure others will chime in and tell you the right way to trouble shoot :)

Hi Fleet. No I was too cranky earlier to post about being cranky. And trying to cool me out would just make me crankier. Every few months I guess I have to have a fit then I'm good to go. Might be cabin fever. I've been here for two weeks and the one time I've left the neighborhood was to go to the town dump with my brother. I usually dig through the recycled battery box when I'm there to look for rechargeables that people throw out. Sometimes I get lucky.

When I was a kid I had a great uncle Howard. We lived in the Adirondacks and he would take us to the dump at night to see the black bears picking through the stuff. He also took us out at night to steal stone from the county for fill in his driveway. He had big plastic buckets and we would fill them with stone and put them in the back of his car. That was very exciting for a 6, 7 year old. He was a cool guy. His wife, Roxie, she was a big woman. When we went to their camp she always had Nehi soda and Orange Crush for the kids. There were always candy dishes out too. Howard and Roxie never had kids of their own so they treated us well. :) Howard worked as an electrician in a wood plant near Tupper Lake NY. They made popsicle sticks, wooden bowling pins and those flat wooden spoons you used to get in Dixie Cups. Remember those? Uncle Howard always had peanuts in a shell in his pockets. He would sit outside in an old chair and roll the peanut around between his fingers and thumb. This would make a crackling sound. Soon a chipmunk(s) would appear and he would drop the peanut in his shirt pocket. The chippy would climb up him and into his shirt pocket and run away with the peanut.
Here's pics of Haward and Roxie I made in 1984:

Roxie loved to fish and her pieces of pie were enormous.
