Good morning Reoville.
My sisters Golden retriever blew her ACL last year. My brother -in-law was tossing the tennis ball to her when it happened. $3000 and the dog is fine now although they don't have her run like they used to. It took months of physical therapy. Walking for 5 minutes, then ten minutes and working up the time more and more. This was done three times a day over the course of 3 months. No stairs too for the dog. THe vet said she probably has a 30% chance of blowing the other one if she was active like before.
There was a photographer, a famous one that I can't at this time remember his name, that had a 3 legged dog. The dog's name was Tripod.
PS. Googled it.: The three-legged dog named Tripod was owned by Edward Steichen. I thought that might help someone someday that is a contestant on Jeopardy.
As a side note my brother-in-law had to have his rotator cuff and smooth bicep muscle operated on last week probably from throwing the tennis ball to the dog....lol.
