Good morning Reoville.

My sisters Golden retriever blew her ACL last year. My brother -in-law was tossing the tennis ball to her when it happened. $3000 and the dog is fine now although they don't have her run like they used to. It took months of physical therapy. Walking for 5 minutes, then ten minutes and working up the time more and more. This was done three times a day over the course of 3 months. No stairs too for the dog. THe vet said she probably has a 30% chance of blowing the other one if she was active like before.

There was a photographer, a famous one that I can't at this time remember his name, that had a 3 legged dog. The dog's name was Tripod.

PS. Googled it.: The three-legged dog named Tripod was owned by Edward Steichen. I thought that might help someone someday that is a contestant on Jeopardy.

As a side note my brother-in-law had to have his rotator cuff and smooth bicep muscle operated on last week probably from throwing the tennis ball to the dog....lol.

Hey Dan, we do love our animals because they are a big part of our lives. And then there are people that should have them (or children for that matter). Please come on back and join us.

It is only 55 degrees here right now and darn near need my thermals.

Good morning, REOvil!

Lisa- I'm glad your Dad is in good spirits. I hope his stay at the hospital goes by quickly and that he doesn't have any more scares like that.

Darrel- Big hugs to you and Dora. :(

Laurin- Congratulations on your four years stinky free!
Tripod was Edward Steichen's-

Running late for my morning walk, got sidetracked when my coffee hour turned into two cups and two hours.
Have a great day everyone!

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
Hello all. My name's Dan. I lurk because I dont have a REO yet.
Darrell just wanted to say my pti/whippet mix, Ginger, blew her ACL last summer. I was crushed because they told me $2-3k to repair. I thought where am I gonna get the money (I had just replaced my furnace/AC a few weeks earlier for a little over $3k)? well, I scrapped it up & im so happy I did. (ran closer to $2k). afterwards she was almost as good as new. She could tear around the yard like what. relatively short heal time too. Sadly, I must say, my beloved Ginger passed about a month ago from liver cancer.

Im sorry for you Loss DJ and thanks :) I know its going to be worth it I have 3 dogs and they are my best friends I couldn't be without them this girl is a real special one as she is so close to my 3 year old son

Hard to keep an athletic dog quiet, isn't it? They just don't understand.
Fwiw, I'm logging on a site about a mile from the Canada border. The only radio station I can get in my skidder is a CBC station, so I probably know more Canadian news than you do, Darrel.:)
I'm glad the teacher's strike is over because that was getting real boring.
The CBC is actually pretty good to listen to--much like our NPR.

Ya they can be ok. I didn't hear much of the cbc reporting on the strike but I do hope it was better than many of the other yackass's

Good morning, REOvil!
I'm happy to say I think this last surgery was finally the one to get me back on my feet. Yesterday I walked 2 miles, mowed the grass, cleaned the house, baked a cake and bathed a dog with no pain and no pills! :D
About to go wake Sister up with her birthday cake and coffee-

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
