I have an O-16 and it was nice but collapsed a couple springs after re-coils and had me scratching my head because everything looked good. The Maker has a huge deck so I'm spoiled and I'll have to be careful with the teensy tiny RM2.

This was day 2 on the roof and I'm sore tonight. One more day of tear off and then I'll roll out Ice and Water Shield and wait for the steel roof panels to be delivered. Definitely my last roof job.

Single coil in a RM2 shouldn't be cause for any frustration - largest open deck on a <22mm atty out there (plus ceramic base for short protection). You can always easily enlarge the air if you need due to the brass cap. Great atty - the Ford F150 of REOVille.

I hear you on the roofing front. We decided (that is, my wife thought it would be a good project for me) to reroof an old large-ish shed this summer. If it's any help, I think the most work was the tear off, so you should be onto the "easy" part shortly. Rolling out paper/felt/vinyl is a breeze compare to nail removal, IMHO. I wimped out and got a roofing nail gun for the shingles, so there's that; a moot point for your metal roof, tho.

I have a question, my purple sparkle REO is the old 510 with the short nipple, have it tore down because it was leaking, and discovered that the “nipple” is super loose. Hubby is used to the adjustable 510 fix, but this one has him perplexed. How does he tighten it?



Edit- just gonna send it in for a new adjustable 510 now. It is time for it to have a spa day i guess

I agree with your edit and was just gonna say the exact same thing. A month or so ago I sent one of mine in for a spa day. Eric and Cindy took good care of her (Black with sparkly purple SL door P67) and will do the same for you. Long live Reosmods.

Thanks, i am just super nervous because this is my very first REO i got (now have 6 between me and hubby) but being my first, it is special to me. Purple sparkly with purple sparkly door from December 2015. Not worried about them fixing it all up, worried about the dang USPS!!

Yes, best time of year in N. MI.
I put on my last roof myself, when I was up there.
Fortunately hired out the one down here...98+ degrees is too hot for me....
