Also I finally went at the hammer tone P67 original I had. It had bubbles on the top.. must of been some dirt under the coating. Always bugged me.

Anyways out of nowhere I had the thought to use a product called "Citrustrip doubt I got the name right" a paint stripper like stuff.

Basically brush it on and seal with plastic wrap and wait over night and the paint just falls off!

Was too easy..

So I figure why not enjoy those veign mods.. and if I hate the look when they turn dark, I can just strip the paint and go bare aluminum.

Anyone have a clue as to why my rebuilt p67 has shorted 3 times??

Totally destroyed 3 springs in 24 hours!

No idea, and I took it apart and see nothing :/

The atty tests fine.

It's been many years since I've done this.

And it was freaky seeing the battery ends turn sizzling bright red!

Finally gotten a little bit cooler here. It was nice to get out and take a walk yesterday without all the humidity. I think I am ready for fall although I do hate mulching all those leaves. I am too old to rake and it is much more fun to use the lawnmower.

Hope everyone is having a great summer. I have not really done anything special. I think I am going to be flying to Boston at the end of this month. Just a short trip to go with a friend that lost his uncle and they are having a service for him. It will be my first time flying. I sure hope it will not be my last. I am not really nervous at all. Probably because I have someone going with me that has flown before. Now I just need to research the rules for flying with vape stuff.

Have a great day!!!!

Now I just need to research the rules for flying with vape stuff.
Vape stuff rules:

Eliquids
, (and any other liquids, gels, lotions, creams, etc.) can be no more than 100mL in each bottle, but you can take as many bottles as will fit in a single quart sized Zip Lock type baggie... if you're taking it in a carry-on suitcase, tote, or purse. If it's more than 100mL...putting it in your checked luggage is fine.

Mods with external batteries:
The batteries must be removed and put in a proper battery case. Batteries are then allowed to be taken only in your carry-on suitcase, tote, or purse, never in checked baggage. The mod or mods themselves can then be taken in either your carry-on suitcase, tote, or purse...or in checked baggage.

Mods with internal batteries:
Must be turned off and taken in your carry-on suitcase, tote, or purse...never in checked baggage.

A battery charger, any charging cables, extra coils, etc. can go in either your carry-on item or in checked baggage.

One other tip - Make sure your tanks, RDAs, RTAs or whatever you take...are either empty, or as close to empty as possible. The change in pressure will cause them to leak otherwise, and you'll have a mess.

I believe it was the screw poking out too far and able to touch the top of the battery..

I ended up filing down the screw so it don't stick out.. its next to the positive post.

0 issues since.. was my first thought, but thought it would always be short if their was a short.. killed 2 springs.

Howdy folks, RedhatPat here. Checking in live 'n direct from amish country. After being away for almost a decade I won't blame anybody if my name doesn't ring a bell!

Hoping to get reunited with my ol' pals while making new friends along the way!

I sincerely wish everyone here a healthy happy week ahead!

I need to resurrect my old signature because it was a link to a very special man whom passed away back in the day.

Your friend 'till the end,

RHP
