If you new to building coils and wicking then I would suggest (and this is just my ) that you first start with cotton and then try rayon which will give you more flavor, bigger nic hit and the wicks will preform and last longer. But the rayon is tricky to wick correctly in order to get the performance and full potential from it, kind of like learning to drive mom's car before you jump in a race car. There is a great thread dedicated to rayon and the folks there will be happy to get you up and running with it once your ready

Here's your back. Im goin ahead and orderin the rayon. The cotton was ok but it swelled up and cut my air flow waaay down. Gonna rewick it with the silica that came with it until I get my rayon. I learned to drive at 11 years old with an 80 mph racing cart ( a nitro burnin 2 stroke McCulloch). I think I can handle a piece of rayon. Finally got a coil at 1.3 ohms (was shootin for 1.2 +). I finally got that cutting one wrap at a time off (in and out of the atty, time after time) until I ended up with 5 wraps around the Q-tip which I estimate to be 2.5 mm. So I think the wire I have that came with the Rose clone is 28 ga. Roxynoodle was right about cotton in these Roses. Good flavor though

Yeah, I've recently gotten a bunch of koh gen do and have been experimenting. Not a good plan for my diagonal single coil build. Was great when I put it in in the morning. By afternoon the draw was pretty tight. By evening was like trying to suck a Wendy's frosty up a straw and I took it out.

alot of people are using koh gen do japanese cotton,or you can go to sally's beauty supply and get cellucotton which is rayon.

Lol, I thought you meant ANY beauty supply when you said "Sally's", like "Joe's" pool hall or something. I didn't know about Sally's, but that would cost me about 8 bucks with shippin for 10'. They are sellin the stuff on ebay at 25' for 6 bucks shippin included. Seems somebody else bought the 500' roll and tryin to get rid of some of it. After 18 or 19 sales, they'll make about 65 or 70 (about 4 to 5 bucks an hour in labor) and still have plenty to make wicks. I'll just go with the 6 bucks. Thanks for your help

Be careful and get the right stuff. Couple of the cellucotton is cotton. Some is rayon and some is reenforced rayon. Let me check and find the number you want

OK I see a 44043 and a 44060. The 44060 is what I was lookin at online. Both of those say 100% Rayon. And I've also seen a third number in the Rayon thread, so do I really need to be that careful? Anybody know what the numbers mean?

Yes, the one I posted is more feet, but I don't remember how much...I want to say 800'. The second link is for 500'. I was looking for the 500' box, but only the larger one showed up in my search so that's what I posted.

So the numbers are different because of the quantity? Yeah the 4403 is 3 pounds. That would last a while and do a bunch of perms and hair dyein too

(I read some reviews on it and found out about the perms, guess you wrap it around your head when you dye your hair. I'm gonna go back on that Sally site and do a review for em on how it works as a coil wick in an atty )

25' for $6 is a better deal than i got.I got mine from ebay because i didn't want to get the big box if i didn't like it,but i paid $5 for 12' haha,this was like 3 months ago though.I'm planning on getting the big box here soon,but after 3 months i still have like 5' out of the 12' i initially bought,so yeah this stuff will go a long way.Maybe i'll do the same,buy the box and sell off a couple hundred feet,that'll pay for the box,and what's left would be free to me haha.

Yes, its for perms and coloring . To try to keep the chemicals off your face. Dye always gets in my ears though And you don't want to shower right after having your hair colored or some will come out. So the first thing I do when I get home is clean my ears

The big box is a better buy, but yeah, that's a heckuva lot of rayon! I never thought of putting it on ebay. The box is the size of a box of diapers.

Hey Roxy - I know you and I both are a major fan of the Rose v2. I am looking for another Stumpy Kit. Got one off of FC a few weeks ago to try and loved it. Now they do not have it. Any sources for these you know of? They had the Pallas (sp) clone version and it worked perfect.

I know! Driving me crazy! The Stumpy Kit is perfect on the Rose v2. not even that much lost in juice volume! Just a really nice size atty with that on.

I seen a few rose's that i thought looked a bit shorter,but thought maybe it was just the way the pictures were.Now i want a stumpy kit too haha.Hopefully someone will know where to get them.
