Love the Scissors actually, I use fiskers at the moment that have a bottle opener on them and comes with the sharpener in the case...they are I believe the multi purpose sheers that they have at wal-mart for like 12 bucks or something.
As for the Rayon vs Cotton here is what I've found...
Rayon is closer to a soft paper in wicking and material, it will draw the liquid faster through the fibers just by the nature of how its made. Also Rayon draws from the inside of the core out unlike cotton that draws from the outside in, one reason I like rayon is its nearly impossible to burn the wicking because the center core stays wet even under high heat.
Cotton draws from the outside in, its closer to fabric then paper in its absorbency and wicking properties. This makes it an ideal candidate for carto style builds. Though cotton and rayon both expand the minimal movement of the material itself should not really affect the wicking properties of your build.
You can use both interchangeably however the how is where it becomes a problem, I'd try micro spacing the coils if no space at all to build a "Wall" for the juice, try only packing around the coil and leaving space off the base of the mod which may help. Lets post some ideas on maybe how to resolve this issue if anyone has played around with it, I've given you everything I've got on this topic as I don't do kayfun style atomizers unless its the Goblin or SilverPlay personally.
